This charming cottage is on the outskirts of Wadebridge, within easy reach of Cornwall’s north coast. The property sleeps four guests and makes a lovely couples’ retreat or base for a small family. The cottage sits within the grounds of a popular inn serving delicious food, which you are welcome to take back to your holiday home. Day trips from the cottage include Padstow, Newquay, and the stunning ‘seven bays’ around St Merryn (all within 15 miles).

The period cottage forms part of a terrace of properties around a delightful courtyard. Inside, the holiday retreat is bright and airy, with pastel-coloured paintwork, contemporary furniture, and a smattering of original features. The main living space is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can prepare hearty meals for the group after a day of adventure and eat together around the chic dining table. After dinner, get cosy in the lounge area to watch a film on the Smart TV in the glow of the wood burner. Upstairs, two attractive bedrooms await, along with the family bathroom. To the front of the property you’ll find a shared courtyard, and to the rear is a large, shared lawn. Parking is available in a private car park.

Journey into Wadebridge (1.5 miles) to potter around the independent shops and dine in one of the local pubs or restaurants. You can join the traffic-free Camel Trail in Wadebridge and follow it on foot or by bike to Padstow. Here, you’ll find a picturesque harbour town with cute boutiques, galleries, and coffee shops. The South West Coast Path passes through Padstow, offering spectacular walking opportunities to hidden beaches and coves. Inland, explore the wild and rugged landscape of Bodmin Moor (10 miles), or spend the day at local attractions such as Camel Creek Adventure Park (4 miles) or the Eden Project (19 miles).
