Nestled on the outskirts of St Ives, this coastal escape for two boasts an elevated position overlooking Porthgwidden. You’ll be just 150 metres from a sandy beach and a short, 0.5-mile walk brings you to St Ives’ bustling town centre. In the evenings, relax on the patio with a sundowner as you admire the breathtaking coastal scenery.

The cottage is reached through the pretty, terraced garden. Leave sandy shoes in the porch and wander through to the beach-themed lounge/diner, where an array of comfortable seating is set around a Smart TV. There is also a sweet dining table for sharing romantic dinners after a day of exploring. Adjacent to the lounge/diner is a compact kitchen with all the equipment needed for a self-catering break. A refreshing shower room rounds off the ground floor. Upstairs, you’ll find a relaxing king-size bedroom set in the eaves. Please note, this room has a sloping ceiling, and you may experience restricted head height in some areas. Completing the accommodation is a handy en-suite WC. Outside, the enclosed patio is a real suntrap and has a bench and bistro set for enjoying al fresco dining in summer months. Private parking is available for one small car.

There are some spectacular walks to explore directly from the property, around the headland known as ‘The Island’. Alternatively, amble down to Porthgwidden Beach to paddle on the shoreline or, for the full holiday experience, you can hire one of the colourful beach huts. St Ives is a charming, Cornish town with cobbled streets, quaint shops, and independent eateries. The town is also renowned for its vibrant art scene, and you’ll find many galleries, studios, and workshops to peruse. However, the town’s main draw is its four glorious, sandy beaches.

Great property. Loads of parking. Garden is fantastic and very modern with the retractable pergola and charcoal bbq a great feature. Would highly recommend. Short walk to carbis bay station for a swift train ride into st ives. 5 bedrooms with 5 ensuites. Property is immaculate.

We had a fantastic week staying at Roselyn! The house was perfect for our family of 6 adults & 4 children ranging from 7 months to 10 years old. It is very well equipped & we had everything we needed! The location is excellent for walking to the beach and to the train station. It is a steep climb back up the hill but we got used to it!

This property is ideally located and for large families / groups up to 10 plenty of room. It is very well equipped and maintained. There is a large rear garden equipped with everything you need to comfortably sit outside / BBQ etc The beach is close with 2 car parks available if you don't want the steep walk down and definitely back up. The BaRead moredger pub about 3 miles up the road food and service very good but even closer is Becks chippy food and service was excellent Hide

A lovely house that has everything you could need, however cleanliness of the property really let it down. Quirky layout that may put some families off (kitchen, dining room and 1 bedroom upstairs; 4 bedrooms and sitting room downstairs). The house is in a fabulous location, a hill down to Carbis bay station to catch the train to St.Ives. The house was lovely and the beds were comfortable. Large table to sit at to eat upstairs by the kitchen and great for playing games. A small sitting area downstairs, not quite enough room for 12 people to sit. We loved our 3 nights there.
