Escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life at this comfortable 250-year-old Cornish stone cottage sitting in the beautiful village of Delabole. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms, this home is the perfect accommodation option for small families or groups of friends in search of a traditional cottage to call home while they experience an unforgettable getaway on the Cornish coast together. During the day, wander around the charming fishing village of Port Isaac. If you''re a fan of the TV show, Doc Martin, you''ll recognize the village as the fictional ‘Portwenn''. In the evening, come home to the cottage''s pretty patio and enjoy an al fresco dinner with your loved ones.

From the picturesque porch, step inside and you''ll be greeted by a cosy lounge area that boasts a beautiful blend of period features, modern styling and plenty of natural light. Take a moment to relax beside the inviting wood burner in the unique inglenook fireplace before heading to the sleek kitchen to show off your culinary skills. Gather everyone together to eat at the smart, country-style dining table, or head out onto the patio to enjoy an al fresco meal. After dinner, head back to the lounge area to catch up on your favourite TV shows beside the crackling wood burner. At the end of the day, make your way upstairs and you''ll find two lovely bedrooms: one elegant king-size room and one charming twin. In the morning, wake up and refresh in the modern family bathroom with a shower over the bath, which is located just off the kitchen.

Grab your walking boots and head off to the dramatic Pentargon Waterfall (7.5 miles), which cascades 120 feet down the rugged cliffs into the sea below. Beautiful village and cottage. If your tall over 5 foot 6 . You would struggle with the ceiling and door hights . There wasn't a hoover or sweeping brush to clean up with and being on holiday with a five year old as you can imagine makes quite a mess . Tried the caretaker who did not respond to multiple messages. However the property owner did reRead morespond saying previous holiday makers had broken it and they hadn't had time to order a new one. Saying they would order one but would take time to arrive because of the bank holiday weekend but there was a dust pan and brush under the sink . Which wasn't ideal to clean the floors with . But other then that was a really nice holiday Hide

Staircase is very steep, so anyone with mobility problems beware. Sadly dogs not allowed in the bedrooms and I know a lot of people, like me, allow their dogs to sleep in their room.

Mattress of very poor quality and could feel every spring. Leaking in bathroom and had an odour. No first basket of wood as per advert

Lovely clean cottage. Really comfortable reclining sofas, much better than most holiday cottages we have stayed in. Spacious well equipped kitchen, we did take our own coffee machine. The mattress on the double bed could do with upgrading. There are a few low doorways in the property which is understandable for a such an old cottage. The showerRead more is awkward to use for anyone over 5'10" unless you bend your knees whilst washing your hair. Anyone over 6' 2" can't stand upright in the kitchen. The woodburner was a wonderful bonus as it was cold and very wet during our week. The extra gates were great for containing the dog when loading and unloading the car. A great cottage for people who aren't so tall. Hide

Lovely cottage very comfortable and well equipped with all you need. It is also ideally situated with a chippy, pub and shop just a few minutes walk. Lots of places to visit just a short drive away, having off road parking was ideal. Altogether a really great holiday.

Nice little place with plenty of off road parking space. Arrived after check in time and got straight in, unpacked and then took the dogs for a run. Within easy reach of the coast path - Walked North to Tintagel one day then South to Port Quin the next. Petrol station in the village and also a Spar shop for forgotten essentials.
