Get the whole gang together at this luxurious, art-filled cottage in the pretty beach town of Mawgan Porth. Sleeping eight people across four bedrooms, it''s the ideal option for large families or groups of friends in search of a beautiful, beachy cottage to call home while they celebrate a special occasion together on the Cornwall coast. Spend a happy morning admiring the architectural and horticultural delights of Trerice House and Garden; and in the evening, come home to pop some popcorn and relax in front of the cottage''s state-of-the-art home cinema.

Art enthusiasts will be captivated by the stunning pieces adorning the walls of this modern, spacious home. Step inside and head along the hallway to the elegant lounge area, where you''ll find an impressive, full-size grand piano. Host a sociable meal to remember at the grand dining table. Alternatively, step out onto the sun terrace, light up the pizza oven or BBQ, and enjoy an al fresco feast. After dinner, head back to the lounge area to warm your toes in front of a wood burner while you watch your favourite movie on the home cinema''s projector screen. Alternatively, challenge your friends to a pool tournament by the wood burner in the detached games room in the garden. At the end of the day, retreat to one of four opulent en-suite bedrooms. The ground floor offers a cosy king-size bedroom and a double bedroom (both with bi-folding doors to the terrace), while upstairs, you''ll find a master king-size bedroom and a stylish twin - both with balconies with sea views.

Lose yourself in the dramatic natural beauty and rich folklore of Bedruthan Steps (1 mile). Grab your camera and take some shots of the spectacular rock formations, sea stacks and coves. If you''re a surfer, you''ll find powerful swells and consistent wave breaks at Fistral Beach (7.5 miles).

We had a lovely Spring stay at Higher Close, the location, views, house layout and rooms all exceeded our expectations. Mawgan Porth is a great base to explore this part of the Cornish coast, and with the beach, coastal path, a restaurant and a local shop so close we had all we needed without needed without getting in the car. Lovely house. Sea view. Great for entertaining. Bedrooms give everyone privacy if they want their own space. Near a beautiful beach, which is dog friendly. Walking distance although up hill coming back. Close to Padstow and Newquay. Our dogs were very happy and also us humans.

Lovely home and garden. Spacious rooms, plenty of seating and furniture was good, and a new outside table and chairs were delivered during our stay. Very warm and cosy. Any problems which arose (minor things) the maintenance staff responded to quickly and were very accommodating and polite.

Loved the location of the property, literally only a ten minute walk down to beach although our elderly parents found it too steep to walk back. Very comfortable home and the grand piano was a major highlight! Had beautiful weather all week and spent all of our time on the local beach. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and was sad to leave.
