Embark on an adventure with your loved ones in this characterful barn conversion, located just 3 miles outside Padstow. Sleeping six people across three inviting bedrooms, this 18th-century stone cottage is the perfect accommodation choice for families or groups of friends looking for a relaxing retreat to call home while they discover the stunning Cornish coast together. Spend a lovely day soaking up the sun on the golden sands of Harlyn Bay, and then come home in the evening to relax in front of the cottage''s crackling wood burner.

This beautiful cottage boasts a unique upside-down layout that makes the very most of the views it offers of the surrounding countryside. Step inside and you''ll be welcomed by a characterful slate-floored hallway with pretty, exposed beams. Head upstairs and make yourself at home in the light, bright and spacious lounge, which features a cosy wood burner set in a natural slate fireplace. When it''s time to eat, make your way to the delightful, bohemian-style open-plan kitchen/dining area to whip up some dinner. Gather everyone around the colourful dining table to enjoy a sociable meal. Alternatively, make your way out to the pretty patio, fire up a BBQ and dine alfresco with your loved ones. After dinner, enjoy a glass of something cool and crisp in the garden, or head to the lounge to warm your toes in front of the wood burner. At the end of the day, make your way downstairs and you''ll find three beautifully presented bedrooms: two lovely king-size bedrooms (one with an en-suite wet room), and one handy twin room. Completing the layout, you''ll find an elegant family bathroom with a shower over the bath on the ground floor.

Stroll along Padstow Harbour (3 miles) and take in the views of the vibrant fishing boats gently bobbing in the bay. Watch the fishermen unload their daily catch, or grab a bucket and try your hand at crabbing. Alternatively, visit the National Lobster Hatchery (3 miles) - a unique conservation, research and education centre. Learn about the various life stages of lobsters, and afterwards, pick up a unique souvenir in the hatchery gift shop.

We spent a week at the Long Barn but could have stayed for two! We have stayed in a fair few holiday homes in Cornwall and Devon but this was by far the best, perfect location and space for us and our teenagers and even enclosed space for our whippet. Lovely and peaceful in the country side but only 5 minutes into Padstow where we did fishing, cyclRead moreing and of course eating! Loads of activities and beaches and walks for all ages close by. We were able to park up a big van and car and everyone had lots of space. The long barn itself is beautifully presented and clean with everything you could need for your holiday, more like a home from home. We have all had a great time in the summer but would also make a great place to stay in colder months too. Hide

A wonderful stay, very impressed. The welcome hamper was exceptional and very appreciated. Beautiful countryside and easy to get the centre of Padstow. Easy to get food delivery. All very convenient and would recommend.

We had a lovely stay at The Long Barn. There was plenty of space for all six of us and our dog. The cottage is tucked away but close to all that the area has to offer.

We have just got back from a week stay at The Long Barn and we have had a really good week. The Long Barn has been decorated so lovely and it has everything you could need. The small secure garden was perfect as we left the door open and our dog was happy lying at the top of the stairs watching everything around him.
