Treat yourselves to a relaxing stay at this enticing, ground-floor apartment within a stone coach house in Cornwall. Sleeping just two guests, the one-bedroom holiday home makes an exceptional romantic retreat for couples keen to get away from it all. Set within a magnificent estate, 2.5 miles from St Austell and 4 miles from the beach, it has its own lovely, decked area and guests are also welcome to wander the picturesque, shared grounds.

Slip off your shoes or walking boots as you enter your inviting apartment and make your way into the open-plan lounge/diner after your latest trip out. Settle down with your holiday reads and a good, strong cup of tea or open a bottle of fizz to toast the success of your latest adventure. Make plans for the following day, watch the Smart TV or simply gaze out at your leafy surroundings for a spell. When mealtimes beckon, rustle up delicious dinners for two in the kitchen on those occasions you choose not to treat yourselves with a meal out. Dine together in style in the main room. At the end of each wonderful day away, recline in a hot bath and then head through to the double bedroom for a great night’s sleep. Step out on to your private deck on sunny mornings and have breakfast as you look over the walled garden. Go for an evening stroll through the beautiful woodland, meadows and gardens within the estate.

Pack a beach bag, make a picnic and head down to spend an afternoon on the sand at either Porthpean Beach or Carlyon Bay, 4 miles away. Pick up the South West Coast Path down here too and venture off on a long scenic walk in either direction. Make time to visit the Eden Project, 5.5 miles away.

We had a very pleasant and relaxing week at the Saddlery. The flat was spacious, in a great location, and it was lovely to have access to the garden.

A delightful comfortable cottage which is beautifully furnished. A lovely cream tea awaited our arrival and Karen, the caretaker, was on hand to show us round. Karen has a wealth of local information, and suggested many thing to do and where to park etc. The cottage is ideally situated near so many places to visit, such as Eden project and Lost gRead moreardens of Heligan, plus little coastal ports and towns. The Saddlery was absolutely lovely. We visited off season in March and were the only visitors at the Manor for most of the time. It was quiet and peaceful, which was just what we wanted. It was lovely to arrive to scones and tea after a long journey. The housekeeper gave us some recommendations of places to visit, which we listened too, and we realRead morely enjoyed the mining museum near St Austell. The cottage was the perfect size for the two of us: the kitchen is spacious and well equipped, the living room and dining space were comfortable, and it was nice to have a balcony (though it was too cold to sit out while we were staying). The TV also has a good range of streaming services and the WiFi was good. It didn't reach to bedroom, but that wasn't an issue for us. We would definitely come back and would recommend Hembam Manor to others. Hide

A beautifully designed conversion with a light and spacious open plan sitting and dining area with nice artistic touches throughout in a lovely quiet location and with a very attentive, welcoming caretaker with a font of helpful local information and recommendations of places to go to. Definitely a place to return to.

We loved the Saddlery at Hembal Manor - a beautiful cottage for two, a conversion from a heritage building decorated to combine traditional building with modern and comfortable style. It was also spotlessly clean has a lovely, quiet and secluded garden where we were able to wander around and listen to the birdsong. The manager, Karen, was very welRead morecoming (providing us with a cream tea on arrival!), and had lots of helpful advice on places to visit. The location gave us easy access to many of Cornwalls fantastic spots eg gardens, beaches, museums and provided a wonderful haven to return to after a day out. Its a place where we could really relax, and well definitely be returning next year. Very happy with our choice. Hide

We had a great week exploring south Cornwall including the Eden Project, beaches, harbours, woods, Truro cathedral , lighthouses, etc. The Saddlery gave us good base for everything we wanted to do, the cream tea was a lovely touch after a long drive to Cornwall. Thank you.
