Return from days on the beach to soak up countryside scenery when you book this attractive barn in North Cornwall. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom retreat makes a delightful base for a small family or two couples away together. With a lovely, lawned garden and a balcony where you can enjoy the views, this bright holiday home is 3 miles from Rock, with its golden sands, and 4 miles from the beautiful beach at Polzeath.

Let yourselves into the stone hideaway to discover reverse-level accommodation cleverly designed to make the most of the outlook. Downstairs, you will therefore find your comfortable bedrooms, a double, with an en-suite bathroom, and a king-size, both of which offer an outstanding night’s sleep. There is also a family shower room at this level. Ascend the staircase to emerge in a light-filled, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can unwind and take in the views. Prepare meals in the contemporary kitchen area then dine at the table by the window. Choose a game to play together at the comfortable lounge end of the bright space or settle down to your favourite show on the Smart TV. Open the French doors to the balcony on fine summer days. Carry a chilled bottle of wine outside on balmy evenings or choose to sit out on the patio in the lower garden instead, while the children have fun on the grass.

Venture 4.5 miles to Wadebridge to pick up the Camel Trail, an 18-mile walking or cycling route that is largely with no traffic. Have a day out in Padstow, 13 miles away, famed for it trendy boutiques and fine seafood restaurants. Enjoy a stroll out along the South West Coast Path, perhaps the 2-mile section from Polzeath out to Pentire Point. Look out for dolphins, seals and basking sharks.

  • 2 bedrooms - 1 king-size, 1 double

Lovely quiet cottage away from the hubbub of Rock or Polzeath. Great for walking and bus stop in St. Minver is useful.

A very nice barn with lovely rural views. Very comfortable and, generally, well equipped. Location is very convenient for access to several coastal locations and Wadebridge. ,

We had a wonderful short break at Rosewin Barn and were blessed with lovely weather, for May, too. The property is ideally situated for all the beaches and villages we wanted to visit, such as Rock, Constantine Bay and Port Isaac. The views were amazing and the upside down layout was perfect to enjoy them in all directions. The beds were very comfoRead morertable and bathrooms had nice hot showers. There is no Wifi at the property, but mobile signals were good so we could still keep in touch with our (adult) kids - it was nice to have a break from constant emails anyway! We would definitely stay here again and thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us. Hide

Lovely cottage, clean and bright. In a good central location for exploring Cornwall. Beds were comfy and nice hot showers. Close to a busy road, so some traffic noise but only 3 miles from Polzeath beach which is great for surfing etc. There is no WiFi at this property, which was a disappointment, especially with a teenager! Overall a nice placRead moree. Hide
