For a day at the beach, head to the golden sands of Porthtowan, known for its exceptional surfing conditions. There are also some stunning clifftop walks from here, along the South West Coast Path. The seaside resorts of St Ives and Newquay make great day trips, and are both within 20 miles of the cottage. For a fun, family day out, head to Newquay Zoo (17 miles) or Flambards Theme Park (13.5 miles).
