This countryside retreat is near the traditional Cornish village of Tywardreath, 5 miles from the south coast. The property sleeps four guests, and is perfect for couples and small families looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The picturesque harbour town of Fowey is just 5 miles away, and you’ll have a fantastic choice of beaches and coastal walks to explore. After a busy day, relax in your south-facing garden for a sundowner or a family BBQ.

The stone barn conversion has a reverse-level layout and is decorated and furnished in a style that complements its original features. Enter the property on the ground floor, where you’ll find two inviting bedrooms overlooking the orchard, one of which has an en-suite shower room. Also on this floor is a family bathroom and a handy utility cupboard. Heading upstairs, you’ll find an open-plan living area with comfortable seating set around a cosy wood burner and a Smart TV. There’s also a sleek kitchen area with a central island, and a dining table for enjoying mealtimes as a group. Outside, a few steps lead down to the enclosed garden, which boasts a sunny terrace with furniture and a BBQ, and a large lawn for playing outdoor games. There’s also an outside tap for cleaning sandy shoes and paws.

The hilltop village of Tywardreath (1.5 miles) has a friendly pub, along with a handful of shops. Further afield, you’ll find a fantastic array of boutiques, galleries, and eateries in the picturesque town of Fowey. Here, you can also join the South West Coast Path for spectacular walks with far-reaching views or hop on the foot ferry to spend the afternoon pottering around Polruan. For a day at the seaside, head to the wide, sandy beach at Par Sands, 2.5 miles away.

The stables is a beautiful conversation in a very quiet location accessed via a single track road. The garden is safe for pets and children. The beds are very comfortable and the soft furnishings are top notch. The kitchen and appliances look new. There is an nesspresso pod coffee machine. Wow what an amazing property in a fabulous quiet location. The cottage was beautifully done and so well equipped. Loved the space for a 4 person property especially having 2 bathrooms. Nice enclosed garden for the dog and plenty of parking. Would definitely book again.

What can I say except ... Fantastic! This place is lovely it has everything you need for a great stay. The beds are so comfy and we slept so well. Location is great for seeing Cornwall. Highly recommend this property don't be put off by location a bit of the main roads but so worth it for a get away.

We had a wonderful week long stay here with our pup. The property is in a lovely location for exploring the south coast of Cornwall. It's secluded and quiet, perfect for some real R&R. Dispite the minor recommendations, I am happy to say that both the property and the equipment are the best we have found in various locations in recent years, much of it like brand new and top class quality, which played its part in making this a very enjoyable break.

First class accommodation in a peaceful location. With a dog it was ideal with an enclosed garden. The property had everything we needed. Par sands was not too far away and it was a great beach, the dog loved it, we went there x 3. The stables is for anyone that likes a tranquil setting for their holiday. There are nice places to visit that are noRead moret to far to travel to see. The hosts live next to the stables.
