A compact hideaway located in an undisturbed stone cottage; this accommodation choice is an appealing haven for two. Romance is assured in this bijou place, with a sumptuous rolltop bath in the king-size bedroom and a warming wood burner to snuggle up in front of when the temperature drops. Surrounded by the impressive scenery of Hartland Point, a heritage coast area, this property puts you within easy reach of beautiful beaches, clifftop viewpoints and appealing villages in both Devon and Cornwall. Whilst the lively destination of Bude is just a short 7-mile drive down the coast, the Devonshire towns of Westward Ho! and Bideford are also not too far away (within 20 miles).

Stylish features, stone-flagged flooring and contemporary design elements add to the instant appeal of this single-storey place. Spend time in the open-plan living area with a lounge, kitchen and diner in one neat row, complete with a wood burner tucked away in the corner and a basket of logs to get you going. Switch on the Smart TV to enjoy music or film whilst cooking, eating or relaxing with your feet up. Next door, a smart king-size bedroom is laid out with an en-suite WC next door. The free-standing bath is a place to soak in the bedroom when the night draws in. Completing the property, a private patio at the rear is furnished for alfresco evenings.

A destination for walkers or cyclists, this property sits 3 miles from the famed South West Coast Path with excursions leading north and south along Devon and Cornwall’s coastal attractions. Fantastic beaches including Welcombe Mouth (8 miles) and Sandymouth Bay (4 miles) are close by, as are the ever-popular destinations of Crooklets and Summerleaze on the edge of Bude town centre (7 miles). Bude also benefits from a sea pool for freshwater swimming in safe conditions.

Fabulous location with super views of sea. Delightful tea room down the lane right next to coastal path. Accommodation small but lovely. Practically in pub car park but this was not an issue in any sense. We ate at the pub 2 out of 3 nights. Great fish and chips and super staff.

The Pottery is in a perfect location for walking the SWCP and visiting Hawkers Hut, Rectory Tea rooms and the Bush Inn. The bed was very comfortable with good views and the bath was great to soak in after a days walking. A few everyday utensils could be added to the kitchen as well as a small chest of drawers with a mirror which would help.
