This pretty cottage, situated on the northern edge of Bodmin Moor, is perfect for families or groups of friends looking to explore the beautiful North Cornwall coast. Sleeping six across three peaceful bedrooms, it won’t be long before you’re feeling refreshed and ready to get out on the South West Coast Path. Start your day at Tintagel Castle (8 miles), then head up the coast path 3 miles to the stunning viewpoint at Ladies Window.

Step into this wooden lodge and enter a cosy open-plan living area. Wooden beams, neutral tones and comfortable sofas make it a little haven to curl up in after a long day out, watching your favourite show on TV. Rustle up delicious meals in the contemporary kitchen, dining alfresco on the patio among picturesque views of the River Inny; the kids will love running dinner off on the lawn. At bedtime, choose the cosy twin room with tranquil coastal touches that has a convenient walk-in wet room, or head upstairs to a pretty double in the eaves with delightful views. There’s another twin room up here that continues the charming coastal theme. Wake up and enjoy an invigorating shower in the bright and airy wet room, or take an indulgent soak in the separate bath in the evening when the kids have gone to bed.

You’ll have no trouble finding a beach to make sandcastles, paddle in the waves or simply sunbathe – Boscastle (6 miles), Crackington Haven (7.5 miles) and Trebarwith (8 miles) are all excellent contenders. The Hidden Valley Discovery Park (10 miles) offers a fantastic family day out, while a ride on the tractor at Trevathan Farm (12 miles) might be more suitable for very little ones. Don’t miss spooky Bodmin Jail (18 miles) to learn about Victorian Cornwall and the supernatural.

it is a very quiet lovely cottage where you can sit and watch the Wildlife look across the fields or you can even go for a walk if you would like.

We felt at home from the start of our holiday. The house is ideal for families and also someone with mobility issues having a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. Lots of character and everything you need for a relaxing time.

A warm, cosy, comfortable cottage that suited us (family of four) exceedingly well for our week-long stay. We recommend it. Has everything you'll need from comfy sofas to a microwave to a washing line, and everything in between. The bedrooms (and beds) were a big plus; despite the sloping ceilings, they are light, airy and comfortable. Plus therRead moree's a wet room - perfect for strolling in off the beach and washing down. Close to a number of amazing places, notably Boscastle (witch museum, Riverside restaurant, great walk up to the watchtower); Tintagel (stunning cliff-top castle ruins, albeit with the STEEPEST entrance/exit!); and Crackington Haven (beautiful beach, rock pools, and body-boarding hotspot). Our favourite place is Watergate Bay (45 mins) - a truly stunning, and pretty huge, beach. All of these outings were improved by returning to Treval Lodge. Hide
