10 of us with Classic cars stayed for the week 4 Norwegians, 6 from the midlands UK. All thought it was the most exceptional accommodation with everything you could ever need in this wonderful property . Local shops, butchers, bakery, supermarket. The locals all stopped to talk all in all a great week in 30 plus, cant ask her anymore.

The house is in a great location for shops, and although a steep walk down (and up!) to the local beach it's not particularly taxing as long as you aren't carrying lots of beach 'gear'. The car park at the beach is small but very reasonably priced, which makes a change! Other local (better) beaches are a short drive away. The house is great for larRead morege parties of people and the beds are all very comfy. The kitchen is perfect for prepping meals for large groups. The pool room and jacuzzi are an added bonus. Highly recommended. Hide

Porthvean was an ideal base for our family holiday. Dog friendly and a 10-15 walk to Trevaunance Cove and the beautiful cliff path. The house is cosy with plenty of space for everyone. The beds are very comfortable and all but one room is ensuite. It was the perfect base for our holiday and St Agnes is a lovely little town. I would highly recommenRead mored it. Hide

We had an excellent time at The Porthvean. The place itself was extremely well equipped and very comfortable; we used the lounge area in daytime and the bar area in the evening. The kitchen and dining areas were also very comfortable places to sit and chat. It was great to have a high chair and travel cot for our toddler and the washing machine wasRead more put to good use. The location was very convenient - we visited the bakery every day and the Costcutter fairly regularly but we also ate out and highly recommend the Taphouse pub. There are several lovely beaches nearby and lots of other beaches and venues within a short drive. One of the showers had been damaged and Wendy made sure to keep us informed about the repair. A particular thanks to Wendy, who found our pram raincover and posted it on after we had left. Hide

We had an amazing stay. The house is perfect for a large group (we had 16). Lots of big bedrooms with very comfy beds. Very generous communal rooms, with great features (we loved the bar and the games room). Massive dining table with room for everyone. The kitchen was massive with 2 of each white good, which made cooking less daunting and very pracRead moretical. The house was very clean and well furnished. There were a few windows of neighbouring houses that backed on to the garden and were very close. Although these were frosted, it did make us feel a big conscious of making noise out there in the evenings. A proper dartboard in the games room would be the cherry on top. Hide

A wonderful location and village. A traditional cornish community that supports the local businesses (great deli, farm shop & pubs). Christmas with a visit from Santa on his sleigh, carol singing and Christingle at the church opposite the property was magical. The beds are all very comfortable and the games room & bar were a plus with the youngRead more adults in our party. Thank you for the fresh milk and bread on arrival and we really did appreciate the number of fridges in the property, especially over the Christmas period. The lounge/snug spaces are perfect and plenty of seating for larger groups/families. The pub next door and the one at the bottom of the hill on the way to the beach were lovely with very friendly staff. We had a meal at the indian which was delightful and on our first night we ordered take away pizza from the shop at the top of the hill and had a glass of wine while we waited for it to be freshly cooked. All in all, a very special village and the perfect property for multiple families to get together, with everything you need on your doorstep. Hide
