A charming cottage set in the peaceful hamlet of Crugmeer on the North Coast of Cornwall. This traditional country hideaway is ideal for family and friends seeking a retreat into nature with a couple of furry companions in tow. Traverse the wonderfully rugged shoreline of Trevone Bay (1 mile) with intriguing rock pools galore, before settling in for a sizzling al fresco feast on the patio. Another ideal beach which is within walkable distance from the cottage is the dog friendly beach of Tregirls, at low tide the beach can expand up to nearly a mile and half with golden sand and small caves to explore.

Slip off outer layers in the cloakroom then reconvene in the cosy lounge. Sink onto the dark leather sofas or curl up by the light-flooded bay window with a book. Perch on the rattan furniture in the sunroom to catch some afternoon rays. As the evening draws in, whip up a hearty feast in the airy Shaker style kitchen complete with calming country vistas. For us was perfect as we wanted to visit the coast and historic houses and National Trust places, apart from the amazing coves all around. Perfect for dog owners, back garden really secure.

The photos of the property give the impression that there is a bathroom on the first floor next to the two twin bedrooms. In fact you have to go downstairs and through the lounge to the hall by the front door. Not much fun in the middle of the night. The lounge and dining rooms are small and crammed particularly for six people. The hallway has a nuRead morember of different levels which presents a trip hazard especially at night. The entrance and driveway is tight and narrow and you have to reverse out as you cant turn your car around. Probably best to visit in the summer months as the garden and outside seating areas are good. Hide
