A charming cottage set in the peaceful hamlet of Crugmeer on the North Coast of Cornwall. This traditional country hideaway is ideal for family and friends seeking a retreat into nature with a couple of furry companions in tow. Traverse the wonderfully rugged shoreline of Trevone Bay (1 mile) with intriguing rock pools galore, before settling in for a sizzling al fresco feast on the patio. Another ideal beach which is within walkable distance from the cottage is the dog friendly beach of Tregirls, at low tide the beach can expand up to nearly a mile and half with golden sand and small caves to explore.

This delightful two-storey property boasts a quintessential cottage interior. Picture wooden beams, checked soft fabrics, exposed stonework, and rich earthy tones throughout. Slip off outer layers in the cloakroom then reconvene in the cosy lounge. Sink onto the dark leather sofas or curl up by the light-flooded bay window with a book. Perch on the rattan furniture in the sunroom to catch some afternoon rays. As the evening draws in, whip up a hearty feast in the airy Shaker style kitchen complete with calming country vistas. Rest up in the inviting en-suite king on the ground floor or ascend the staircase to discover two thoughtfully styled twins. The photos of the property give the impression that there is a bathroom on the first floor next to the two twin bedrooms. In fact you have to go downstairs and through the lounge to the hall by the front door. Not much fun in the middle of the night. The lounge and dining rooms are small and crammed particularly for six people. The hallway has a nuRead morember of different levels which presents a trip hazard especially at night. The entrance and driveway is tight and narrow and you have to reverse out as you cant turn your car around. Probably best to visit in the summer months as the garden and outside seating areas are good. Hide

The Mount is very comfortable and practical and in a wonderful location, with Trevone, Hawkers Cove and Padstow all an easy walk away. It is extremely well-equipped and the view from the kitchen window lifted my spirits every morning.

Undoubtably one of the best equipped holiday homes we have stayed at. Ideally suited for coastal walking and only a short drive to various glorious beaches and Padstow when you get tired.

Lovely garden, and a comfortable, clean, & well equipped house. The beds were great - unusual for a rental property. The peaceful spot was great for walking, accessing beaches, & going in to Padstow.

Had a lovely Christmas stay at the Mount, 2 couples and 1 dog. Found the property very well-equipped with everything we could possibly have needed and clean upon arrival. It was freshly painted, its a lovely cosy cottage and an absolutely perfect location (proximity to Padstow, coastal path, Trevone and Harbour Cove beaches and farm shop a plus!).
