This idyllic Cornish cottage is in the quaint village of Little Petherick, 3 miles from the vibrant harbour town of Padstow. Sleeping four guests, the characterful cottage makes a great bolthole for small families looking to get away from it all. There are some beautiful walks in and around the village and along the nearby River Camel. Enjoy days out to picturesque Port Isaac (12.5 miles) or the upmarket village of Rock (11.5 miles), or spend the day relaxing at one of the ‘seven bays for seven days’ near St Merryn (4 miles).
The cottage is full of character, with beamed ceilings, sash windows and exposed stonework. Enter the property into the country-style kitchen/diner, where you’ll find everything needed to whip up tasty dinners using fresh, local ingredients, and a dining table for sharing mealtimes together. From here, move through to the cosy lounge, where you can stretch out on the sofa to read a book or watch the Smart TV. An open-tread staircase leads to the two bedrooms, one of which is a bunk bedroom that’s perfect for children. A family bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, relax in the enclosed courtyard garden, sipping a morning coffee or enjoying a sundowner.
While away a lazy afternoon pottering around Padstow. The town has a great selection of cute boutiques and galleries to explore, as well as some delightful cafes and coffee shops. In the evenings, enjoy a meal with a view in one of the harbourside restaurants, many of which serve fresh seafood. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches, with the sandy shores of Trevone Bay, Harlyn Bay, and Treyarnon Bay all within 5 miles. Nearby family attractions include Camel Creek Family Theme Park and the stunning house and gardens at Prideaux Place (both 3 miles).
