Head inside this converted barn and find a wonderful open-plan living space, that gives you the opportunity to enjoy spending time together. Rustle up romantic meals in the practical kitchen area to eat together at the cosy two-seater dining table. Once your stomachs are full, curl up on the sofa in front of the roaring wood burner and get stuck into your favourite movie or TV show. When you are ready for some much-needed sleep, go through to the sumptuous bedroom which has a double bed and a TV where you can enjoy long lie ins, or early nights. Completing the interior of the property is a stylish bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside is a lovely private patio area with seating, and a BBQ for al fresco dining.

Set in a quiet spot in the scenic countryside of Cornwall, you will be surrounded by moorland to explore. Nearby is the quintessential village of St Tudy (2 miles) which contains a lovely country pub and a Grade I-listed church. Made popular by the TV series Doc Martin, the charming village of Port Isaac is 8 miles away which has a couple of delightful eateries. For fabulous days out at the beach, visit Polzeath (11.5 miles) where you can try out surfing and other water sports.

We stayed with our dog for Christmas. The cottage was really welcoming and tastefully decorated. Everything we could have possibly needed for our stay was provided. Lee put so much thought and effort into making our stay that extra special over Christmas. Very well equipped and comfortable property in a peaceful location that is ideal for exploring the coast and moors. Tastefully decorated with attention to detail. Fab woodburner although the cottage was really warm so we lit it for atmosphere rather than heat! Lovely welcome pack and we liked the bathroom goodies and extremely fluffy towels. The cottage was extremely well equipped with everything you could need and more. It was extremely clean and the bedding made me feel like I was staying in a hotel. The hosts were very friendly and the recommendations they gave me for food were spot on. Beautiful property, with every home comfort. Spotlessly clean and very welcoming, the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in. The owners are super friendly and very helpful and accomodating. A beautifully decorated and fitted out place for a getaway. Everything was to a very high standard, from the fully equipped kitchen, (great selection of knives etc etc), to the excellent bathroom and shower, (complete with bath sheets and toiletries just like an expensive hotel), to the extremely comfortable bedroom, (with plenty of storage space)Read more. Absolutely fantastic hosts. The bearoak was perfect. Everything was there that I needed and more. There was a beautiful hamper there on my arrival. Also treats for my dog. I had a lovely relaxing few days, and will definitely be back.

We spent five lovely days at the Bearoak Shippon and really enjoyed our time there. The accommodation had everything you could possibly need along with probably the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The bathroom is large and, in late April, the underfloor heating was most welcome. The owners are great hosts and very friendly and gave us Read moretips on what was happening and worth a visit locally. The neighbour was also very helpful with his local knowledge. We stayed over the long Easter weekend, Lee and Simon (the hosts) were so helpful and friendly, the cottage was clean and well presented, they had gone to so much effort and thoughtful finishing touches, this cottage is a gem of a find and I will definitely be staying again, thank you Lee and Simon for a lovely holiday cottage

We love travelling to Cornwall and found the Shippon well located for exploring the North Coast. We particularly enjoyed visiting the fishing harbours and walking on the moors. Everything needed for an enjoyable stay is found in the Shippon. We look forward to returning in 2024.
