Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom retreat is situated within the estate of a hotel close to Trewhiddle, 1 mile from St Austell. It makes a great base for getting out and about in this picturesque corner of the country and is also ideal for those wishing to make the most of the hotel’s array of leisure facilities.

Return from your exciting excursions to spread out and enjoy the space offered by the timber-clad property. The bedrooms, a double, and a super-king-size which can also be made up as two singles if discussed in advance, are at ground-floor level, together with a family wet room and en-suite bathroom. The living space, an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a vaulted ceiling, is on the first floor. Here, a glass gable end captures the views out over the leafy surroundings and offers access to a private balcony. The kitchen, with its granite work surfaces, has everything you need to help you cater for your party with your own ingredients. There is also a comfortable lounge space, where you can recline and watch TV or read your books. Sit out on your private balcony on sunny days or wander over to the shared patio to BBQ supper out in the fresh air.

Discover plenty of activities in the area to suit those with and without four-legged friends. Follow the 3.5-mile Pentewan Trail along an old railway line and down to the coast. The South West Coast Path is also a great place to stretch your legs. Those without canine companions might enjoy days on the beach at Porthpean, 2 miles away, or Pentewan, 3 miles away.
