Return to this charming cottage in Mousehole after long coastal walks and afternoons spent at pretty coves. Sleeping three guests, the two-bedroom retreat is perfect for a couple or small family. Situated close to the harbour in the small fishing port, the delightful, three-storey, stone hideaway shares a courtyard and deck with nearby properties and is within 100 metres of the village’s galleries, shops and eateries and 350 metres of the tidal Mousehole Rockpool, where you can swim.
Step into the cottage via the entrance hall and head into the lounge/diner to relax for a while. Take out your book or find a good film on the Smart TV as you treat yourselves to a little downtime on your break. Head through to the kitchen to make a cup of tea or to start chopping and slicing ready to make the next meal. Find everything you need here to help you with your endeavours. Serve up at the table by the window in the main room. A WC, with a washing machine, is also at ground-floor level. Wander up to the first floor of the cottage at the end of each exciting day to lay your head in the single bedroom. The family shower room is also at the level. Climb up to the second floor to find the airy king-size bedroom, with its sloped ceiling and skylight windows. Have morning coffee out on the deck or enjoy a glass of wine outside on summer evenings.
Pick up the South West Coast Path in Mousehole and follow it for 2 miles to picturesque Lamorna Cove. Make a trip to Marazion, 8 miles away, to spend time on the beach and stroll out to St Michael’s Mount when the tide is out and the causeway becomes visible.
