The cottage is very quaint and cosy. Set in a quiet village which affords easy access to the coast and surrounding visitor attractions. The pub next door is very friendly and welcoming and provides affordable pub grub.

We loved our stay at Pauntley Cottage. It's a compact and cosy cottage with everything you need to have a great stay. This was our first holiday as a four with our new baby (who was 4 months old at the time of our visit). Also there was my husband, our 12 year son, myself, and our dog Pablo. The location of the cottage was ideal for us to explore tRead morehe north coast of Cornwall. We visited Padstow (which was extremely busy), Rock, Polzeath, Port Isaac, and even walked a very small amounth of the south coast coastal path (difficult to do with a young baby!). The pub next door was lovely, but also extremely busy and since we hadn't booked for food we could eat there. We visited the Pityme Inn just down the road to watch football on a big screen and enjoy a Sunday Roast which was really lovely - I'd definitly recommend this venue. The cottage itself is cosy, my husband did bang his head a few times or doorframes etc, but it was fine for me as I am much shorter! We loved the log fire and playing Rummikub on the rug in front of it. There is a book shelf there as well although we all brought our own books. No parking directly outside the property however parking wasn't an issue while we were there and we parked just across from the pub. We visited at the end of October and we were a little worried we would be cold but the electric radiators and log fire kept us really warm so this wasn't a problem at all. The only thing I would say is that for someone with decreased mobility the stairs might be a bit difficult, also the small bedroom is very small - it was fine for our 12 year old son though who loved how cosy it was. The kitchen had everything you need to make homecooked meals - including a corkscrew (very important!). Hide

A really nice bolthole for a couple of nights away. The cottage itself is cosy, fine for 2 adults and 1 child but any more and it could be a squeeze. It had everything you could possibly need from a cork screw to a garlic press! We liked the fact there are different types of glasses too. An abundance of cleaning products provided and great having tRead moreowels, tea towels and oven gloves which is always appreciated to save on packing your own. Lovely little private courtyard at the back of the property. The log burner was a bonus and our dog loved lying in front of it. Location wise it is very peaceful but you do need a car as there aren't many amenities close by. Really close to Rock beach which is beautiful. Not far to Polzeath and Padstow. Handy parking at the cricket pitch not far from the cottage. All in all a lovely stay. Thank you. Hide
