This pretty property, nestled in the tranquil village of St Issey, is the perfect retreat to experience the beautiful coast and countryside of North Cornwall. Sleeping five over three homely bedrooms and with space for up to two dogs, you can enjoy a real family holiday here. Spend sunny days in the garden sizzling up a BBQ to eat under the pagoda, or head off to popular Padstow (4 miles) for a traditional pub lunch or posh fish and chips from Rick Stein’s restaurant.
The cottage has a delightful blend of traditional and contemporary features. The kitchen diner is fresh and bright with plenty of space for sociable meals, while comfortable sofas and a wood burner-effect electric fire in the lounge beckon you to curl up with your favourite film on TV. Up the open-tread wooden stairs, three cosy bedrooms await; two have king-size beds and one contains a single bed, and all have lovely wooden furniture. The bathroom indulges guests with a spacious walk-in shower and a separate bath with quaint coastal touches. Outside, everyone will find their favourite spot in the garden; enjoy al fresco drinks under the pagoda as you watch the kids and dogs run around on the lawn.
Have a fun family day out at Camel Creek Family Theme Park (2 miles) or take the pups for a run around on the beach at Harlyn Bay (6.5 miles). Embrace nature’s beauty as you walk or cycle along the 18-mile Camel Trail that winds alongside the picturesque Camel Estuary; it starts in Padstow and ends in Wadebridge (4.5 miles). The National Lobster Hatchery (3.5 miles) and the Cornish Birds of Prey Centre (5.5 miles) are well worth a visit, and you can’t miss the Eden Project (19 miles) while you’re here.
