Featuring a cosy lounge, games room and a landscaped garden, this dog-friendly property is well-suited to large families or groups keen to relax in comfort and enjoy easy access to the area’s coastal and rural communities.

Tucked away down a quiet residential road, the two-storey property has been finished to a high standard, its rooms painted in muted tones and covered with contemporary soft furnishings. The first floor is home to a family shower room and four stylish bedrooms: two double bedrooms, one with an en-suite; and two twin bedrooms, one of which can be converted into a super-king-size bedroom upon request. A wonderful landscaped garden, complete with a patio, decked area and artificial lawn, is a fantastic setting for alfresco meals and dog-friendly games.

The dogs can expect to find plenty of excuses for walks during a stay here, and it’s an easy 500-metre stroll to Portreath’s stunning beach and historic harbour, long a magnet for watersports and seafood lovers. There’s direct access to the South West Coast Path from the village, a great way to see the coast from another angle. Other routes nearby take in reminders of the area’s mining past and a host of wooded areas. For something farther afield, Godrevy Lighthouse, the village of Hayle and the vibrant seaside town of St Ives are all within 16 miles.

We could not have been happier with our stay at Pebbles. Everything we could need was provided, the decor was lovely, everything very clean, great location. We made use of the lovely outdoor area in the evenings and the children enjoyed the park/football area across the road. We would recommended and would love to stay again.

Very well equipped and Maintained property in an ideal location. Outside hot shower very good idea and appreciated. Shame the weather was not good enough to make use of the garden. Well situated as a base to visit other places

We were a party of 7, 4 adults, 3 children aged 9 to 15 plus 1 small dog and the house was more than adequate for us. This is our 3rd year in Portreath but (obviously) first stay in Pebbles. What a fabulous house. loved the dcor and so thoughtfully done. Pebbles was clean, comfortable and had a very well equipped kitchen. The little extras, such as darts, ping pong and games were appreciated, especially as the weather wasnt ideal. The parking was excellent and Portreath is a gorgeous village. We did think it was a little closer to the beach but alot of people are walking through the village to Read morethe beach in wetsuits so it wasnt an issue to do so. There are a few good cafes and a great pub a stones throw away from the property. We enjoyed our week here regardless of weather! Hide

We stayed as a family of 7 adults and 1 small child. The accommodation is faultless, well equipped kitchen, very comfy beds and spotlessly clean. We were so pleased about stair gates, which gave us freedom with the toddler. We would definitely recommend Pebbles and would love to one day come back.

Pebbles in Portreath is a fantastic property for people that holiday with dogs. We have stayed in many properties that accept humans and dogs. Pebbles works brilliantly for dog owners. The garden is totally secure, yep, totally. Very rarely even with properties that have an enclosed garden are they really dog proof. The garden is a very clean Read morearea which reduces the amount of dirt that gets trampled in by dogs. The open plan living area with a sliding door to the outside makes it very easy to manage the dogs. If walking is your thing then you can enter the back garden by a side gate and hose down the dogs so they are clean before entering the property. Stair gates top and bottom ensure no rogue visits upstairs. We use gates at home so this was great to have in the property. There is plenty of room downstairs for our dogs crates without affecting the flow of the property so they can sleep how they are used to at home but our dogs are WCSs so crates for two labs might be a little tight. The human parts of the property have also been well thought out by the owners. The property is extremely well equipped. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware. Some holiday rentals can be a little stingy but not at Pebbles. You could cook pretty much anything you wanted with the equipment in Pebbles. Here is plenty of space downstairs for a property of this size. The bedrooms are a good size and not cramped at all as can sometimes be the case with some holiday rentals. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. Especially the wine! Very nice touch. Croissants, milk, biscuits, tea etc all there for our arrival. The location of the property is very close to the harbour and beach but most properties in Portreath are. If Portreath is the sort of place you are looking for as a base for a holiday with your dogs you will not go wrong with Pebbles. One slight improvement, and it is the only thing I would change, would be a Dirt Trapper Mat by door to back garden for wet paws. We always travel with one anyway. We will certainly return to Pebbles in the future. Hide

Property details should of CLEARLY stated that dogs were not allowed upstairs instead of us arriving and being confronted with a sign stating this fact. Should of been listed under NEED TO KNOW on property details. Property was therefore dog tolerant not dog friendly - this would cause a massive issue with some dog owners. Property obviously newlRead morey refurbished and I would suggest leaving some appropriate cleaning products on the premises - not just the equipment. Some products could be too harsh and abrasive for the finishing's thus risking damage. Upon arrival kitchen cabinets were full of fingers prints which showed up terribly on the dark matt finish of the cabinets. Hide

Thank you for a wonderful short break. The weekend has passed much too quickly. Every detail in the property has been carefully thought about. The quality of the fixtures and fittings makes Pebbles feel truly outstanding and in a class of its own.
