Bring together friends and family in this spacious holiday home in the stylish village of Rock. A 0.5-mile walk brings you to the glorious, dune-backed beach, with its calm waters and golden sand. The South West Coast Path passes through the village, offering fabulous walking opportunities with far-reaching views. After a day of adventure, enjoy al fresco meals on the terrace overlooking the garden.

The large, period property is full of original features and has been tastefully decorated with pale tones, delicate soft furnishings, and country-cottage-style furniture. Enter the accommodation into the bright kitchen/diner, which has elegant slate flooring and two dining areas to seat up to ten people, making it a great space for entertaining. Just off the kitchen/diner is a utility room as well as a handy wet room. The welcoming lounge is a lovely space to unwind, with a cosy wood burner and a TV/DVD for enjoying movie nights together. All four bedrooms are located upstairs, one of which has an en-suite bathroom. The family bathroom is also on this level. Outside, dine alfresco on the sheltered terrace, whilst the children play on the lawn. There’s also a handy rail and hose for cleaning wetsuits.

The charming village of Rock has a small collection of shops, including a bakery and dairy, so you can sample the local produce. Just across the estuary, via the ferry, is the bustling harbour town of Padstow. Here, you’ll find a fantastic selection of eateries, many showcasing fresh seafood, as well as many boutiques and galleries to explore. The town is also the start of the Camel Trail, should you wish to explore on two wheels. Further afield, day trips include Port Isaac, Tintagel, and Boscastle (all within 17 miles).

Lovely, characterful cottage in a beautiful part of the world. There was plenty of space for eight adults. We could cook and eat together, relax in the living room, and we enjoyed using the a outside space when the weather allowed. Loved warming up by the Aga after a chilly swim in the estuary. Great little shop across the road and a lovely cafe juRead morest along the street. Hide

This was a fantastic cottage- lovely enclosed garden for the kids, well equipped kitchen and utility room, beautifully decorated rooms and a great location in Rock. We would definitely come again. Only suggestion would be a useful information folder at the property with information about the local area and things like bin collection/Wi-Fi passwordRead more etc. Hide
