Excellent stay. Lovely house, great location. Parking is a bonus. House was clean, airy and really comfy to stay in. We had fabulous stay. Unfortunately, we did have to pay for seven nights even though we could only stay for six nights, but thats probably standard everywhere. Thank you for a great stay and well hopefully book again the same house!Read more Hide

The apartment was in the perfect location with a pleasant walk through the grounds and in to town although a little more strenuous on the way back. The only draw back is the road noise but not enough to spoil our holiday.

We absolutely loved our stay at Penlee. It was the perfect holiday home for our family of five (three kids included). We had not been to St Ives before so it wasn't easy picking somewhere but we were very happy with our choice. We were able to walk to most local places from the house fairly easily. Barely used the car except for day trips out. PortRead morehminster beach was about 15 mins down the cut through paths. The walk is a bit steep but our 7 year olds managed it easily. Carbis bay was a bit further but still very walkable. Local supermarket was very close too which was helpful. We weren't able to use the castle facilities but it was a nice walk through to the town. The house itself was very clean and had everything you would need for a week away. We were kindly left a gift of tea, coffee, biscuits and milk which was amazing after a very long drive down. Great showers, comfy beds and comfy couch. Having an allocated parking spot also made things easy. We would happily stay here again. Hide

Comfortable apartment with dedicated parking which is a definite plus for St Ives, negating the need to drive in to town as its a pleasant walk through the grounds to access all that the town has to offer. Spent a very pleasant week here and would definitely consider returning

Attractive apartment in a good location within walking distance of St Ives and Carbis Bay. Close to shops, restaurants and two local train stations. In a quiet location with three comfortable rooms and two bathrooms. Upstairs shower is very small with a low ceiling and is probably better not to bother using. The rest of the apartment is well furnisRead morehed including the kitchen. The apartment was very clean upon arrival. I'd say it's a comfortable place for 1-4 people to stay but might be a little uncomfortable for more despite the extra beds as the living space is fairly small. Overall would recommend if you prefer to be out of the bustle of the town with a better price point than central properties. Hide

We had a great holiday, the whole process was easy to book and once full payment was made we were given a very detailed instructions on how to get there and any codes we may need, this was also sent in a reminder 24 hours before our visit. We arrived and the place was as it looked in the pictures, the apartment doesnt have a garden although youRead more do have access to the castle gardens which are beautiful. You are just far away from st Ives that your not woken up by the seagulls but near enough to the beach about a 20 minute walk if that, although a steep hill on the way back. We have given some feedback about some minor defects that were found however we were contacted immediately when we left a message saying they could get someone to come a fix it. Hide
