While away hours at a time gazing out over Looe towards the harbour and the sea from this exceptional holiday home. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom cottage enjoys a hillside position and a garden where you can take in the coastal vistas as you bask in the sunshine. Perfect for a small family or two couples, the dog-friendly hideaway makes a magnificent base for exploring south-east Cornwall and spending time on picturesque beaches.

Enter the property and make your way into the lounge/diner, where picture windows pull the views and natural light right into the house. Open the doors in here to step out on to the deck or settle on the soft seating to watch the Smart TV, play music and chat about your day. Head through to the kitchen to take turns at preparing meals to enjoy at the dining table. There is also a handy utility room, as well as a WC, at this level. The two bedrooms, a family bathroom and a second WC are on the floor above. The bedrooms are both king-sizes, with one featuring beds that can also be arranged as 2’ 6” twins instead, if discussed at booking. Spend as much time as possible out in the terraced, lawned garden on fine days, enjoying your surroundings, cooking on the BBQ and dining in the fresh sea air. There is parking, accessed via a steep and narrow lane, for one smaller car at this cottage.

Stroll less than 1 mile from the property to reach the sandy, sheltered East Looe Beach. Walk out along the famous Banjo Pier while you are here. Enjoy a 1.5-mile amble along the South West Coast Path, beside the Looe Estuary and along to scenic Samphire Beach, with its rock pools and views out towards St George’s Island.

The cottage is in a fabulous location above the Harbour of Looe and close to local amenities. Not suitable for disabled people or those who find steep hills and stairs challenging. It is very well equipped although Id recommend bringing all the staples (food and drink items, loo paper etc) with you

A great, well equipped, house in an amazing location. The view is absolutely stunning making it a great spot whatever the weather. We had a mixed week and the view and huge supply of games meant we still enjoyed every day. The secure outdoor space is also a bonus in Looe, for us and the dog. The information about parking was accurate and helpful anRead mored we chose to unload from the bottom of the hill and then park nearby which was easy done. The owner is also really helpful and Id thoroughly recommend the place. Hide

Stunning, beautiful, relaxing, comfortable, welcoming! Our week at Meadowsweet was fantastic, the house and it's location were perfect. Absolutely everything you would need and more was provided. The drive up to the house is a difficult one, one of our cars made it up the hill but it didn't move until we left! The other car was parked in the MillpoRead moreol car park which is a stones throw away, very handy and cost just 26 for the week. We could have just stayed in the house all week, the weather was fantastic and the seating areas outside were perfect for relaxing. However, we did venture out and about, walking the dogs. We had a fun afternoon at Seaton and ate lunch in the Smugglers Inn. We also took a Sea Safari over to Looe Island and Polperro and saw the colony of grey seals. Meadowsweet is the perfect holiday home in a stunning part of Cornwall where you can do as little or as much as you like. Hide

Fabulous stay in Meadowsweet. Very well equipped and comfortable place. We decided not to tackle the steep approach to the cottage in the car so parked in the public car park and walked up which was no real issue. The steep walk up is so worth the view from the bay window/deck area - absolutely stunning

Fantastic window view, very clean, comfortable furnishings. Very well equipped kitchen and well appointed bathroom. Plenty of good quality outdoor furniture. Very useful communication from the owner in advance about parking options. The property is on a hill as are many in Looe but the view is fantastic with the lovely window seat. Lots to Read moredo in Looe and surrounds with good quality shopping, restaurants, lovely beach and welcoming pubs. Hide

The views were great and all mod cons were good. The garden was full of weeds and the grass was really long. The block paving needs power washing as was dirty and had a fair bit of moss.
