For an unforgettable holiday with your best friends, take a trip to this converted barn on the Cornish coast. It’s the perfect spot for a couples’ getaway and you can enjoy the small community, rich history and incredible views.
The bungalow has a beautiful lounge/dining area with a wood burner to warm you through. It’s perfect for socialising, holding a games night or enjoying a bottle of wine with your fellow guests. There’s a kitchen with patio doors so you can soak up the fresh air and sunshine as you prepare breakfast. Move on to the two double bedrooms, both carefully decorated, airy and perfectly restful. Wash the salt and sand off with a relaxing soak in the deep bath and treasure the holiday feeling. This property enjoys a wraparound enclosed garden, so if you do bring Fido, he can take his time sniffing everything out. In one corner you’ll see a decking area with a table, so you can enjoy your morning coffee with a view over the beautiful countryside.
There are plenty of great places to explore, including the nearby pub (500 metres) which was built in the 17th century to allow smugglers to move their wares. There’s still the original secret tunnel which they used! You’re in the perfect spot for history and legends, and it’s easy to visit The Merry Maidens Stone Circle (6 miles), which is either the site where 19 women were transformed into stones for dancing on the Sabbath, or it’s a late stone age/early bronze age monument used to track phases of the moon. For nautical tales, try the Mayon Cliff shipwreck, 1 mile away. You can walk along the cliff to find Land’s End (1 mile), Sennen Cove (1 mile) and the Enys Dodnan Arch (1.5 miles), an unusual rock formation.
