Located down a country lane, striking interiors and a secluded location add to the sanctuary-like feel of this stone-built annexe. Perfect for a countryside-loving couple, it offers access to 17.5 acres of land where you can walk to lakes, unwind in a summerhouse and even enjoy an evening stargazing.

There’s a real sense of otherworldliness at this character-filled cottage, where two people can enjoy downtime amid acres of rolling countryside. An annexe to the owner’s home, the property features a bold colour palette and distinctive design details, its open-plan living space dominated by a huge open fire and fully glazed doors to the grounds beyond. A kitchen and dining area to one end set the scene for fine dining a deux; afterwards, you can move into the lounge area and stretch out on the large sofa, settle down for a movie or perfect your gaming skills on the PlayStation. When bed beckons, head upstairs to a grand mezzanine level where there’s an inviting double bed and a wet room. The outdoor living space here is extensive, starting with a seating area where there’s a BBQ and a pizza oven. The accommodation had everything we needed and we made the most of having an open log fire. This is lovely accommodation set in a very peaceful and beautiful setting. The place is very homely and comfortable and good value for money. They even Read moreprovided treats for our doggies. This place is ideal if you prefer to eat out as the fridge, cooking facilities and food preparation spaces are very limited. However there are so many pubs and restaurants nearby that this is not an issue. A beautiful cottage tucked away down a typical Cornish country lane. The property is next to the owners own property, John and Lou and we could not have wished for better hosts. We were shown around the property on arrival and where everything was, a few little treats as well, which were very much appreciated. We were also allowed to walk arouRead morend the 17 acres of land whenever we wanted and enjoy the peace and quiet that the location provided. The accommodation was clean, tidy, comfortable and there was everything we needed for a week away, a home from home. The area has so much to offer and wished we could have stayed longer. Would we go back? In a heartbeat and will definitely be rebooking in the near future. Thank you John and Lou for a special and memorable holiday in your beautiful cottage. Hide

Had the best stay at Lou and John's property, a wonderful quiet Christmas for just us and our 8-month-old. We actually came down with a sickness bug on Christmas day and Lou kindly looked after us and washed all our pukey baby clothes! Thank you so much for our uncomplicated stay, your hospitality and fun chats in the kitchen! xx

Very peaceful and quiet area, so we slept very well throughout the stay. The location is a bit secluded to get to (and down the bottom of a single track road), but it's well worth it. The property had everything we needed. It's a lovely area as well to have a walk around to explore.

Very remote property and quite difficult to get there. A Sat Nav is a must. Lots of driving through very narrow roads. However, we did enjoy the remoteness. A really friendly owner who was more than helpful when asked. If you want to get away from this mad, mad world, and people, this is the place!
