Property code: OC-1COBBS

A traditional two-storey, stone-built cottage in the heart of Fowey, less than 300 metres from the delightful harbour, is ideal for a family or friends looking for a relaxing holiday on the Cornish coast. Fowey is a feast for the eyes, with its multicoloured cottages perched on the hillsides leading down to the sea where local restaurants serve up dishes from the delicious local produce.

This lovely cottage retains original features such as the dining area’s exposed stone walls and bends them beautifully with a bright contemporary feel and decor. On the ground floor is the living/kitchen and dining area. The lounge has comfortable sofas, a TV and an electric fire and is the perfect place to socialise and play games. The contemporary kitchen is equipped with all you need to cook up a storm. On the first-floor landing, you will find a useful workspace, a bathroom and three bedrooms - one double, one twin and one single. Outside is an enclosed southerly-facing garden to the rear with a terrace, wooden gazebo, lawned area and range of outdoor seating options. This makes it a perfect spot for dining alfresco and a safe space for children and pets to play.

If you’re a fan of Daphne du Maurier, visit the Literary Centre in Fowey, which provides information and exhibits about the author and her life and work. In August the town holds its famous Fowey Royal Regatta. Fowey lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there are plenty of natural attractions nearby to enjoy. Beach enthusiasts will love taking the Bodinnick car ferry to Lantic Bay (5 miles) and walkers can follow the South West Coast Path along the Fowey Estuary. Alternatively, head along the coast to the historic fishing of Charlestown (7 miles) and then onto the world-famous Lost Gardens of Heligan (14 miles).

We had a great stay at the cottage and we were so fortunate with the weather, hence made the most of the garden for breakfast and late afternoon after returning home from our daily excursions. We felt the location was ideal and liked that it is centrally located in Fowey yet set back enough to be quiet and peaceful - even with the hourly church belRead morels ringing out! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you. Hide

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I saw some previous comments in reviews on the parking space, I drive a BMW X3 and had no problems parking in it. Would highly recommend the cottage.

Great location in the centre of Fowey, comfortable and got everything you need. The Church bells are loud it may take a couple of days to get used to them.

We loved our stay at Cobb's Well. A beautiful little cottage, fantastic central location with the bonus of a private garden and a parking space. Comfortable and clean, well equipped little gem.
