A traditional two-storey, stone-built cottage in the heart of Fowey, less than 300 metres from the delightful harbour, is ideal for a family or friends looking for a relaxing holiday on the Cornish coast. Fowey is a feast for the eyes, with its multicoloured cottages perched on the hillsides leading down to the sea where local restaurants serve up dishes from the delicious local produce.

This lovely cottage retains original features such as the dining area’s exposed stone walls and bends them beautifully with a bright contemporary feel and decor. On the ground floor is the living/kitchen and dining area. The lounge has comfortable sofas, a TV and an electric fire and is the perfect place to socialise and play games. The contemporary kitchen is equipped with all you need to cook up a storm. On the first-floor landing, you will find a useful workspace, a bathroom and three bedrooms - one double, one twin and one single. Outside is an enclosed southerly-facing garden to the rear with a terrace, wooden gazebo, lawned area and range of outdoor seating options. This makes it a perfect spot for dining alfresco and a safe space for children and pets to play.

If you’re a fan of Daphne du Maurier, visit the Literary Centre in Fowey, which provides information and exhibits about the author and her life and work. In August the town holds its famous Fowey Royal Regatta. Fowey lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there are plenty of natural attractions nearby to enjoy. Beach enthusiasts will love taking the Bodinnick car ferry to Lantic Bay (5 miles) and walkers can follow the South West Coast Path along the Fowey Estuary. Alternatively, head along the coast to the historic fishing of Charlestown (7 miles) and then onto the world-famous Lost Gardens of Heligan (14 miles).

We had a great stay at the cottage and we were so fortunate with the weather, hence made the most of the garden for breakfast and late afternoon after returning home from our daily excursions. Lovely cottage in a fantastic location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I saw some previous comments in reviews on the parking space, I drive a BMW X3 and had no problems parking in it. Would highly recommend the cottage.

Great location in the centre of Fowey, comfortable and got everything you need. The Church bells are loud it may take a couple of days to get used to them.

We loved our stay at Cobb's Well. A beautiful little cottage, fantastic central location with the bonus of a private garden and a parking space. Comfortable and clean, well equipped little gem.

This the second time we've stayed at Cobbs Well. We love the cottage and it's location, it's perfect for access to the town but set back far enough to avoid the noise. The house has been renovated to a high standard and the lovely garden is a sun trap. The parking space is tight but very helpful to have in Fowey. We plan to return!

Clean, recently decorated cottage in a great location (2 minutes from church). Although big enough for a family, no children's equipment provided and the fridge is tiny (you will not fit enough food for more a couple of days). The coffee machine in kitchen is a Nespresso - bring /buy your own pods (no details in cottage decription when we went). MaRead morettresses very soft, especially in main bedroom. Hide

Good location, tricky to find down Browns Hill but managed to find it eventually. A few minutes walk downhill to eat out in the evening or buy provisions, bakeries are really good. Don't be put off by the church in close proximity - although it chimes every 15 mins & on the hour, we did not hear it once we were in the bedroom! The shower is amaziRead moreng with good pressure which was great to use. Dogs loved the outside space, lucky with sunny weather so a nice place to sit out with a good book. Few things would improve which I have suggested to owner - kitchen utensils (e.g. only 1 wooden spatula, 3 cheap bendy knives). Just a few extra details could make this cottage even better. Tip: take a few dishwasher tablets as we only had 3, take kitchen roll, (w/up liquid & sponge is provided) All in all we had a lovely week here in Fowey, and very lucky with the weather :) Hide

The cottage is absolutely perfect! We visited for the week of our wedding and were surprised with bubbles, confetti & a banner on the door - such a lovely and thoughtful touch. We had a fabulous stay at the cottage which has a great location in Fowey. We would definitely stay again. The only downside was we had to clean a few pots and pans before we could use them and the kitchen floor needed a god clean.

Lovely house and location and would definitely return but it seems to be a consistent theme with holiday rentals, a decent frying pan and at least 1 sharp knife surely isnt too much to ask. If there were 5 people in the house there was no large pan such as wok to make a meal, we managed as only 2 of us.

Enjoyed a week in Cobbs Well prior to a significant birthday. Everything we needed was included in the home. It was lovely to have a little welcome treat on arrival for Oscar and Nellie (dogs). It would be good to come back in better weather so as to sit in the the garden/enjoy the harbour bars in the summer. Thank you.

Lovely property. The only thing I would recommend is to advise that the parking area is extremely tight and wouldnt accommodate a large vehicle. The location and comfort of the cottage was super, very peaceful.
