Valpre is in an excellent location. We have been staying in Manaccan for a number of years and this property in our opinion, is superior to one or two others in the same location! We very much enjoyed our stay here and plan to return soon.

We had a lovely stay but the cottage needs a lot of TLC, the king size bed the mattress was solid so very uncomfortable. No indoor shower so if you like baths it's great but for a quick shower in the morning it's not ideal. Garden isn't secure, the fencing used is broken in places so our dog found the opportunity to go for a run in the field behindRead more the garden and because the gate into that field is padlocked with no key we had to wait for him to come close by so we could grab him. They do provide a long lead however for a big dog who loves to explore it wasn't ideal. Not great for small children as the kitchen tiles were lose and the grouting was coming away so it wasn't very safe sharp in places. Not all negative though the kitchen is well stocked with all different utensils for adults but most bowls and plates were chipped and if your bring children I would say take your own bits. Location is great if you want to be in a quaint village away from all the hustle and bustle as the nearest supermarket is about 20 mins away in Helston. We had a lovely stay but wouldn't return just because it doesn't really cater for dogs or children very well. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Were glad you enjoyed your stay but sorry some things fell short of your expectations. Its true that the mattress is firm and the only showers are the hand-held one over the bath or the warm-water outside shower. On inspection we found only a couple of chipped crockery items which have been replaced. The same applies to the broken fencing (the field isnt ours but we can supply the padlock combination). The floor tile grouting in the kitchen was addressed recently but well ensure its done again, more effectively. Hide

Very nice cottage. Located near to the village pub which we used on several occasions to both have drinks and dine. Parking at the property was a little difficult if you have a large car but we managed. Overall I would recommend staying here.
