Take a walk to St Catherine’s Castle (1.5 miles), built by Henry VIII, to experience a bit of history before spending the day at the beach. On rainy days, Fowey Aquarium (0.5 miles) will keep you busy for an hour or two. You’re just 6 miles from the famous Eden Project and its fascinating plant biomes, and you can even experience it from above with a zip wire experience from Hangloose Adventures. It’s well worth popping to Polperro (7 miles) for a wander around the model village and its stunning beach.
