You’ll be 1 mile from the nearest shops for picking up supplies. For a glorious coastal walk, join the scenic South West Coast Path 1 mile away. You can follow it north to the Pendeen Lighthouse (1.5 miles) and along to the gloriously wild beach at Portheras Cove, or south to Botallack Mine, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site(1.5 miles), where 19th-century engine houses cling to the cliffs. Further afield you’ll find the iconic Land’s End 7.5 miles south and the open-air Minack Theatre 10 miles away, which is well worth the trip whether there’s a show on or not. Also, a worthwhile trip to St Just (2.5 miles), for the renowned Jackson Foundation Gallery, created by Kurt Jackson in his home town.
