This sweet dog-friendly cottage in a peaceful spot near West Cornwall’s coast makes an idyllic getaway spot for a couple or solo traveller. It’s in the village of Trewellard, 150 metres from a charming local pub, and with easy car-free access to idyllic walking trails along a spectacular secluded coastline (1 mile). This welcoming accommodation has a glorious rustic atmosphere and benefits from a glorious Mediterranean-style patio for enjoying the fresh Cornish air during your stay.

Thoughtful decorative touches, wooden ceiling beams original stone walls make the atmosphere of this holiday home traditional, pleasant and welcoming. On the ground floor, you’ll have a lovely open-plan living area with a cosy lounge with inviting armchairs, a Smart TV and a cosy wood burner nestled inside a stone nook. The well-equipped kitchen is ideal for cooking up delicious romantic meals to be enjoyed in the conservatory, a glorious light-filled space with a dining table and handy sofa. The kitchen also hosts spectacular views of the picturesque sunsets.  Head up the spiral staircase to reach the lovely bedroom where panoramic sea views extend as far as the Scilly Isles. In mild weather, you’ll love making the most of the furnished outdoor space while your pet finds a shady spot for a snooze.

You’ll be 1 mile from the nearest shops for picking up supplies. For a glorious coastal walk, join the scenic South West Coast Path 1 mile away. You can follow it north to the Pendeen Lighthouse (1.5 miles) and along to the gloriously wild beach at Portheras Cove, or south to Botallack Mine, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site(1.5 miles), where 19th-century engine houses cling to the cliffs. Further afield you’ll find the iconic Land’s End 7.5 miles south and the open-air Minack Theatre 10 miles away, which is well worth the trip whether there’s a show on or not.  Also, a worthwhile trip to St Just (2.5 miles), for the renowned Jackson Foundation Gallery, created by Kurt Jackson in his home town.
