We had a relaxing week at this beautiful cottage in Marazion, walking the coast path and catching the bus (stops close to the cottage) to Penzance and Mousehole and walking back. Perfect for the dogs, who slept well. There was plenty of space for the three adults and three dogs (ours sleep in crates that sat neatly in the kitchen diner). It is apprRead moreoximately 10 minutes walk down the hill to the causeway to access St Michael's Mount. The hosts have put together some good walks in the information pack when you arrive. The cottage is on the main street so you do need to be careful with children and dogs with the risk of traffic. There is a beautiful courtyard garden at the rear with outdoor seating, which we made the most of in the sunshine. There is also a terrace and seating for six which is accessed from the first floor lounge. This has a view of St Michael's Mount. Everything was clean and there is access to cleaning products should you need them. There is parking for one car a short walk away. We had no problem emptying or packing the car when the time came. Great place to stay. Hide

We had a lovely Christmas week at The Old Cowshed. We were very cosy and comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped for most eventualities (yes I cooked a full Christmas dinner with no problems!) Beds are worthy of a mention too - very comfortable. Our two dogs Tod & Merryn settled very quickly (not always the case), and having Marazion beach sRead moreo near for walkies was a bonus. We were pleased that unloading/loading up of the car was straightforward, given the temporary space allowance outside the next door property, and because of this we werent then too bothered about the car being a short drive away to a secure and easily accessible space. A lovely property in a lovely town! Hide

The house is ok but really not good value for money. There are big damp issues, annoying layout, lack of a useful garden for dog, no towel racks, uncomfortable sofa. At half the price this house would be fine.

This is a beautiful house with the most fantastic view. There are a couple of negatives, one of the downstairs bedrooms was damp, the back garden was not very secure for our little dog who is like Houdini and hopped over the low wall but we did put things in front of it so it didnt happen again. Sitting in the little patio watching the birds and buRead moretterflies was really special. The welcome pack and fresh flowers was a lovely touch as was the abundance of little touches like handwash, tea towels, paper towels, toilet roll and cleaning pack. The property was spotless. This property may not be for you if you have mobility problems, there is a winding staircase in the house and the parking is quite a walk up a bank away from the property and its a 20 minute walk at least to the beach. There is another beach about 10 mins away but down treacherous steps. However not having mobility problems myself its a lovely quiet little beach. The village is lovely. No dogs are allowed on Marazion beach but a beach at Porth Kidney was amazing and allows dogs. The owners provide an extensive guide as to where to go and what to do locally which we found really useful and the WiFi was brilliant. If youre fully mobile youll love this place. That view is beautiful Hide

Parking is not ideal. Quite a steep walk up from the car. While there is a space, its not ideal if you have health issues.

Great location with a short walk down to the centre of Marizion and views out over the sea and St Micheal's mount. The cottage was comfortable, the patios outside were lovely to eat out on.

Fantastic place to stay, cannot recommend highly enough. Gorgeous little cottage in an amazing location, we all felt at home as soon as we walked through the door and the views speak for themselves.
