So much care and attention have gone into making this character cottage the perfect getaway destination, an exceptional choice for your next celebratory getaway. A versatile option for your whole group of family or friends, the holiday home benefits from three adaptable zip-and-link bedrooms which can be made up for variable guest configurations and a final bunk bedroom that any kids will simply love to share. An enviable hub for nature lovers, the property is set amongst woodland surroundings with marvellous views and wildlife all around, so set off each day with eagle eyes ready to spot birds, animals and all the picturesque views that surround it.

Discover both a lounge and a snug on the ground floor, each with its own Smart TV and ideal for multigenerational families who can’t decide what to watch when evening falls. The lounge is a spacious room with two wood burners to keep it exceptionally warm and cosy throughout cooler months. The whole family can come together in the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner, an impressive space with a Range cooker and a central dining table for all to sit around. You can also take meals outside, choosing instead to raise a glass around patio furniture in the garden. Pass a ground-floor WC as you continue up onto the first floor where all four bedrooms and two further bathrooms are located.

Lace up your walking boots to discover adventure on your doorstep, unearthing beauty along the Looe River or amongst the Kilminorth Woods (both less than 100 metres). You can follow a scenic riverside route down to Looe town centre (2 miles), an East Cornwall highlight with a sandy arc of beach and plenty of local shops, pubs and eateries to frequent. From here embark on a coastal route to discover the neighbouring AONB, visiting beautiful Polperro just 3.5 miles away.

What an amazing cottage The Ancient Cottage is. The photos do not do it justice. It is beautifully decorated throughout to a very high standard and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The sofas and beds are extremely comfortable and it's location set in the woods by the river was by far the icing on the cake. Despite thRead moree wet weather we had some amazing walks with our dog who loved to explore the woods. What a wonderful place to spend our family Christmas. Hide
