This peaceful Grade II-listed property is ideally located between Penzance seafront and the bustling town centre. It’s the perfect base for groups of six guests and two dogs to explore the best of Cornwall’s coast and countryside.

Follow the pretty pathway and let yourselves into this historic family home. Wander through to the living room, where high ceilings, well-dressed windows and period features create a tranquil atmosphere after a busy day of swimming. Gather on the comfy sofas and find something on the TV that everyone will enjoy while a member of your group stokes up the open fireplace. Have a singalong in the snug, where a classic piano transports you to the elegance of olden-day musical evenings. Cook in the light-filled kitchen space, and serve around the charming table. Adults can continue chatting into the night while the kids entertain themselves with books and board games. Choose from three tastefully-furnished bedrooms, each with stacks of storage space for all your beach essentials. Enjoy the fresh air in the enclosed cottage-style garden, and plan your day with the rest of your group.

From your doorstep, stretch your legs with a 300-metre walk down the beach. Here, dip your toes in the crystal clear waters for a casual paddle, or go headfirst with your surfboard. Visit the bustling harbourside, where you can stock up the cupboards with delicious local delicacies. Stop by the many pubs, shops, bars and restaurants to taste locally-caught fish dishes and real ales. Time the trip right, and many folk clubs and local festivals are available as part of their flourishing arts scene. Jump in the car and travel to St Ives (8 miles) for a meander around their world-renowned galleries, or venture to Land’s End for natural splendour and a shopping spree at the West Country Shopping Village (10 miles).

This is the perfect place to explore Penzance from. Its location is unbeatable with town and seafront just steps away. The house is situated in a beautiful promenade of period houses. We loved the old fashioned bell pull and the wooden flooring. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals. The daybed is a perfect spot for planning your day oRead morer reading a book and keeps cool due to the old stone walls. Hide

Great location, comfortable accommodation. Would recommend. We did NOT have a car, and I think parking is a problem.

Beautiful house in a great location. Plenty of space. The downside was parking - garage is small and cars were parked in front of it. On street parking unpredictable, mostly unavailable. We ended up buying a weekly pass for the Harbour Car Park for 26. Great walled garden with security gate, so pets could wander in and out of the house safely. ComfRead moreortable beds and sofas. Lovely piano/reading room with many interesting books. Many dog friendly eating places nearby. Hide
