Embrace a slower pace of life in this spacious cottage hidden in one of the prettiest villages in Cornwall, St Mawgan. Perfect for families of five, sink into Cornish life in this stunning cottage with beautiful furnishings and a bright and airy feel.

Located down a private lane, step inside to the tastefully decorated open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This social space boasts exposed beams, calming colours and plenty of natural light pouring in from the patio doors. After a busy day of coastal ramblings, find your seat on the sofas and warm your toes in front of the wood burner. Take advantage of the lawn area by sizzling sausages on the BBQ and serving on the elevated decking. Spend time stargazing or enjoy your drinks unwinding in front of the TV. When day turns to night, get well-deserved rest in one of the three peaceful bedrooms on the first floor; a king-size, double and one twin. Use the handy water barrel to wash off your wetsuits in the morning and prepare for another day of out in the surf.

Newquay is incredibly popular with families, offering a range of activities such as surfing and bodyboarding opportunities, walking routes, and relaxing days on the beach. Grab your board to head 6.5 miles to the beach, and while you’re there, wander the gorgeous Trenance Gardens (6.5 miles), with a swimming pool, crazy golf, a boating lake and a miniature railway. Alternatively, have the round of your life over at Merlin Gold Club (3 miles), take a refreshing walk along the craggy clifftops of Mawgan Porth (2 miles) or explore the Japanese Bonsai Gardens (0.2 miles) for some inner reflection. Discover the quaint village of St Mawgan by following the lanes and end up at the local pub for a hearty lunch.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It had everything we needed, especially for the kids. The plastic plates/cups were very handy. The garden was lovely, a nice big enclosed space for the kids to play in. Only a few minutes drive to the beach. It was really lovely.

The cottage was perfect for us! It had everything we needed for our 1 year old meaning we didn't have to bring loads of things with us and it was an added bonus having an enclosed garden. The cottage itself is beautiful inside and very comfortable. The location is a great base to visit a lot of places, we went to The Eden Project, Newquay, Padstow Read moreand Port Issac. The village is lovely and it's only a short drive to the lovely beach at Mawgan Porth. We would definitely stay here again! Hide

Our 5th stay at Bryher Cottage and St. Mawgan. Delighted to return after past 2 years cancellations. Visited our favourite beach several times - Harlyn Bay and impressed by new beach bars/cafes and as ever the wide open sands and brilliant surf. Tried a few new places to eat!

Back for our 3rd visit to Bryher Cottage and looking forward to booking our 4th visit soon. Loved visiting Mawgan Porth beach, Constantine and Crantock Bay. Padstow is beautiful regardless of the weather as was Charlestown where we visited the Shipwreck Museum and Shackleton Exhibition. The cottage is perfectly located and equipped. Thank you!

Thank you for a fabulous stay. What a beautiful house it is! The weather has been just as beautiful and we have had such a great time here. We have made some memories which we will treasure forever. The children (and adults!) had a fantastic time body boarding at the beach and playing games in the garden.
