Let the sounds and sights of the sea surround you when staying in this fabulous coastal cottage. Just a few metres from the gently sloped steps that lead to Porthleven Beach, this traditional seaside property provides an exceptional getaway spot for couples, families or friends hoping to explore West Cornwall’s heritage coast. Sympathetically decorated with neutral colouring and pleasant décor, you couldn’t pick a better base to return home to after long days of coastal path hikes and Lizard Peninsula sightseeing.

On arrival, you’ll pass a suntrap patio space furnished with rattan outdoor pieces, an exceptional spot for sitting down with your morning coffee. From here, step inside to be greeted by an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with attractive herringbone flooring and characterful fittings. Presenting plush seating, warm lighting and a Smart TV, you’ll dream of relaxing evenings spent in this living room even after you leave Cornwall. As night falls, exceptional levels of comfort are maintained in all three bedrooms with excellent mattresses and soft, crisp linens. One double and two single bedrooms are served by a stylish shower room.

With a photographic harbour and picturesque old buildings, you’ll find plenty of beauty whilst wandering around Porthleven town centre. The neighbouring town of Helston (2.5 miles) is similarly attractive with old fishermen’s cottages and bustling markets and town events. It’s also home to Flambards Theme Park (3 miles), a much-loved landmark for those with younger children. Both children and adults alike will adore trips to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (6 miles), an underground tour of the Poldark Mine (6 miles) or a scenic trip on the marvellous Helston Railway (5 miles).

This cottage is superb in every way. Location, size, cleanliness etc. Weve loved our stay and coming home to the cottage every day. It doesnt have its own parking but its easy to park just a few yards away. We hope to return for sure

Very happy with the cottage and the information/booking process. A suggestion for the future it would be nice to have an ice box or fridge freezer. Otherwise I had a great stay.

Fantastic cottage and location. Scored lower because 1) oven didn't work (but people were very responsive on addressing problems, including money back for inconvenience), 2) would benefit from more kitchen utensils - colander, cheese grater, etc.
