This traditional fisherman’s cottage makes a charming stay for a family of four and their beloved canine. Located in a prime position to explore the bustling seaside resort of St Ives, this delightful retreat with a wood burner makes a fabulous base for those looking to explore the coast and country of Cornwall.

Stylish and lovingly furnished, this property is a wonderful mix of contemporary decor and tranquil tones. Make a fresh cup of tea or pour your first glass of wine and wander into the lounge, where you can stoke up the wood burner and snuggle up on the sofa on those chillier nights. Find everything you need in the kitchen/diner, helping you to whip up incredible dishes with the produce you sourced on your outings. As night falls, wander up to the first floor and relax in the calming tones of the double bedroom or one of the two singles. On sunny days, have lazy breakfasts out in the fresh air of the shared courtyard and plan your day’s adventures.

You’re right in the thick of it, in this splendid seaside accommodation. From the door, follow the rows of fishermen’s cottages for 150 metres and reach the centre of town, where a wealth of cream teas, fish and chips and dog-friendly pubs are ready to fill peckish tummies. Popular with art aficionados, St Ives has a thriving culture scene, with the Tate St Ives gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden within easy reach. Build sandcastles, explore sea caves and go rock pooling at the beaches of Porthmeor (7 miles), Gwithian (10 miles) and Godrevy (11 miles) or take on the waves in one of the best surf counties in the UK. The dazzling views of the South West Coast Path are well worth a look; dramatic clifftops, rugged woodland and crystal-clear waters make for remarkable pictures and can be strolled for as many miles as tired legs will carry.

Lovely cottage and location, although would have been nice to use the fire but wasnt working and this was one of the things that attracted us to the cottage especially in the winter /over Christmas and new year. Fridge didnt keep things cold and bigger fridge would have been great. Dishwasher not working but reported this along with the other itemsRead more so hopefully these will be up and working again soon.. would book again if all working. Hide

This cottage is just what we were looking for. Id avoid staying in the centre of St Ives in the summer months but in February it was perfect. Youre right in the heart of everything yet its tucked away in a peaceful quaint street. Parking is a few minutes walk away up a steep hill. We bought a weekly permit which was fantastic as we could use it to Read morestay at all the places we visited over the week. The cottage itself has everything youd need and is surprisingly large upstairs offering three bedrooms with lots of storage for clothes. The utility/boot room area downstairs was also a very useful area. Comfortable stay overall. We lost heating and hot water one day but this was fixed the same day Hide

Overall a really good holiday. House was spotless and dressed for Xmas, much appreciated thanks. The gift basket with wine was lovely - thank you! Location was perfect and couldnt be beaten. Some points would have made it outstanding. Fridge is far too small and struggled to keep cold enough and this was in winter- cannot imagine how it is in sumRead moremer. No info given on whether there was a clothes horse provided until we found by chance hidden in an upstairs wardrobe on our last day. Only one door key was inconvenient, we had to all go out at the same time or someone had to stay behind. 2 keys would have been better. No bin bags provided except the ones in the bin when we arrived. No soap provided - a small hotel soap would have been nice. Also some sachets of salt and pepper would have been good. Its a slog up and down from Barnoon car park, bring a camping trailer if you have a lot of things! Hide
