Property code: OC-WATCH

Sitting in a prime position for the delights of St Ives, the South West Coast Path and the incredible beaches of Cornwall, this is the ultimate family retreat. Switch off from the stresses of daily life, gather your favourite people and have a memorable stay in this charming reverse-level property with sea views.

Laid out in reverse to maximise the waterfront views, your impressive home has a wonderfully warm and inviting feel, with cosy furnishings and pops of colour throughout. The living room is a spectacle to behold, with the whole room having been lined with wood recovered from the SS Alba that was foundered at St Ives in 1938. This old-maritime feel continues into the kitchen, where a nautically styled area offers plenty of space to cook the locally caught seafood you might have purchased earlier in the day. After dinner, spend hours gazing out over the everchanging seascape while enjoying a glass of Cornish cider and catching up with your favourite crew. Downstairs, three restful bedrooms provide solace after a day of escapades, while down the hall, the main bathroom invites guests to soak tired muscles in the tub.

Wake up and sniff the salty sea air with a fabulous stroll down to the harbour. Spend lazy days ambling around the plethora of galleries, craft shops and boutiques before stopping for a tasty pitstop at endless rows of pasty shops, tempting bakeries, ice cream parlours and welcoming pubs. While away the hours with rock pooling and surfing at several nearby beaches, including St Ives, Bamaluz (0.5 miles), Porthgwidden (0.5 miles) and Porthmeor (7 miles). On dry land, join the South West Coast Path for some of Cornwall’s most sought-after scenery and wildlife, and follow the trail for as long as your legs will allow.
