The ideal base for a long weekend with a friend or for a small family, this delightful retreat sits in the heart of the popular resort destination of St Ives. With creativity surrounding you as well as all the draws of a coastal location, you won’t be short of things to do. Meander through the cobbled streets lined with galleries and boutiques, set up camp on one of the spectacular local beaches, or head to the harbour for the lively seaside atmosphere.
Once a fisherman’s cottage, you get a real sense of this upon approach with the traditional facade and layout. Climb a flight of ten external stone steps and another flight of stairs internally (with handrail) to enter into the main living space. The lounge area is cosy and inviting and offers a hideaway bed for additional guests or if a couple of friends are holidaying together. A set of folding doors enables the space to be closed off from the adjoining dining area and compact kitchen space which also houses a small sofa and TV. Stairs lead up from the dining area into the main bedroom suite which features a double bed and a folding single bed. There is also a bathroom on this floor which offers fabulous rooftop views from the window. Whilst there is no outdoor space attached to this property, you are set within the heart of St Ives and all its spectacular scenery.
This homely abode is perfectly placed between two of St Ives most popular and picturesque beaches with tiny Porthgwidden on one side and the larger Porthmeor Beach to the other; the latter is synonymously linked with the town due to its proximity to the Tate St Ives and its vibrant party atmosphere. If you’re looking for a different kind of day out, The Island is a must visit spot - hop across the causeway at low tide or take a boat ride - this small strip of headland overlooking St Ives Bay boasts stunning views, little pathways, hidden coves and rock pools.
