  • Compact ground-floor apartment in a fabulous location
  • Located right in the heart of St Ives close to the beach
  • Sofa bed in the lounge for flexible accommodation

Property code: OC-MAR02A

This ground-floor apartment is situated just outside the bustling centre of St Ives, but only steps from its fantastic range of shops, galleries and places to eat, not to mention five glorious beaches. With a double bedroom and a sofa bed, this is a great getaway destination for couples, two friends or small families, and even welcomes a small dog, too.

Step up into the lobby and straight into the open-plan living space of this comfortable property. There’s a smartly fitted kitchen at the far end of the room, with heaps of worktop and cupboard space and, when you’re ready to enjoy your culinary creations, a small dining table adjacent. The lounge area has comfortable seating around a wood-burner-effect electric fire and a TV with a DVD and CD player. After a day on the beaches or exploring the area, at bedtime you can look forward to a good night’s sleep in the king-sized bedroom, which is stylishly decorated and boasts an en-suite shower room. For additional guests, the sofa in the lounge can be converted into a bed for one person.

In St Ives’ historic Downalong area, the apartment is closest to Porthmeor Beach, the best in town for surfing and where there are also several cafes. The town’s four other excellent beaches are all close at hand, however, as are its pubs, cafes, restaurants and takeaways - you can try everything from a pasty to local seafood. If you’re feeling arty you could pop into the famous Tate St Ives or the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, while walkers will enjoy the coast path and inland hikes, offering beautiful countryside and gorgeous views. Still looking for something to do? Learn to surf, kayak or stand-up paddleboard, fish for mackerel or book a boat trip to Seal Island.

We have stayed at this property three times so I think that it would be a nice gesture if there were a few little treats to welcome guests. We would certainly stay at this property again. We love our yearly visit to St Ives.

Love this property have stayed here previously hence booking the property again. Great location. Only downside is the busy road outside. It's a pity the property to the left doesn't allow you to park to unload your cases etc thereby not blocking the road. I would recommend the property and hope to return in the future.

Great for two adults + two dogs, location is a double sided sword! Great for distance to beach & Island for dog owners, but (as we knew from description prior your pit stop unload / loading of car due too one way street & is circuit for ALL traffic that goes along harbour front. The bigger but is the Friday, Saturday & Sunday local rowdy scooter, Read moremotorcycle & boy racer car's, we choose deliberately out of season so not too crowded , however may be not to everyone's choice! I booked two , week tickets for The Island Car Park via St Ives council website, all great & knew it was not a garantie of a space, only had two day's where we had to wait ! Hide

Lovely cottage, has everything you need for a self catering holiday. The whole property is quite small, and if youre on the large size youll find the bathroom a bit of a problem. Its right on one of the main roads out of St Ives and can be very noisy, but a wonderful position for the town and beaches. Lovely property , but a bit small and a noisRead morey road. Hide

Location central which made getting around St Ives easy. Problem is that St Ives is not designed for so much traffic and the cottage sits on the road leading out of town. The front door literally opens on to the road.
