This characterful two-storey cottage in the popular Downalong Town area of St Ives is perfect for couples, families or friends looking for a restful and active holiday by the sea. The property is a great base, less than 300 metres walk from the glorious golden beaches of Porthgwidden and Porthmeor. The pretty fishing harbour is also less than 200 metres away. Here you can watch the boats come and go and take a fishing trip or a sea safari to Seal Island.

A charming property with an apartment above that has a coastal theme and retains beautiful original features such as exposed ceiling beams. The furnishings have been chosen with care, and coloured glass and beautifully framed artwork create a welcoming and maritime feel. This is a place where you can unwind from your everyday cares. On the ground floor is a lounge/kitchen/diner with inviting seating, a TV, and a coal-effect electric fire, that makes this a cosy place to be all year round. The kitchen is country-style but equipped with all the contemporary appliances you need to rustle up some favourite dishes using fresh local produce. A bathroom completes the offer on the ground floor. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms - one double and one room with two single beds. There is a small outdoor seating area from which you can relax and watch the world go by.

With four beaches in St Ives, you’ll be spoilt for choice whether you enjoy digging in the sand with a bucket and spade, swimming, surfing, or other water sports. There are many other attractions to discover in the surrounding area, and walkers can access the South West Coast Path from St Ives. I think this is our 5th visit to Killaganoon. Absolutely love visiting every year - always the first week of Wimbledon, so if weather disappointing there is tennis to watch. Not too much tennis was watched this year.

Great location, near 3 beaches and harbour and well equipped with space to sit outside but spoiled for me by flood light shining all night in bedroom window from across the street.

We had a lovely week, cottage is comfortable but basic. Positives: location, comfy beds Negatives: no basics supplied in kitchen (apart from salt), not even tea bags/ sugar for a drink on arrival State of bathroom poor Make sure you bring dishwasher tabs and laundry powder as none are supplied A nice cottage but I feel somewhat overpriced

A wonderful cottage that we absolutely adore - the highlight of the year is coming here to stay during the first week of Wimbledon, which has been my plan the last few years just in case the weather is disappointing so watching the tennis is on standby. Lots of sunshine this year so not as much Wimbledon tennis watched this particular year.

Very good location and spacious property. Facilities were excellent wasnt without anything, however the bath was very small and not big enough to use comfortably. Plenty of sundries made the stay that bit better too. Only complaint was the level of cleanliness as hairs were found in multiple places mainly the bathroom but the towels and linen proviRead moreded looked spotless. Overall an enjoyable stay Hide
