Gather eight guests and your waggy-tailed pal for a holiday home with the very best in creature comforts in the popular seaside town of St Ives. This is a dog friendly house, but if you have a dog that likes to bark then this isn’t the house for you out of consideration for the neighbours.

Upon entering the property, you are presented with a clever reverse-level layout which makes the most of the fabulous harbour views. Change into your comfiest clothes in one of the three bright and airy bedrooms and make your way over to the ground-floor kitchen to pop the kettle on. This well-appointed space provides ample room to cook bumper banquets for the whole party, while the first-floor lounge/diner offers a chic table for hosting. Finish the evening with after-dinner drinks in the wow-factor living space, with sloping ceilings, wooden flooring and incredible harbourside vistas. Alternatively, make memories with your group by watching the sunset in the enclosed patio garden.

If you can tear yourself away from this delightful seaside property, spend happy days dipping your toes in the water on St Ives Harbour, or relive your childhood building sandcastles on the sandy beach. Mosey through the cobbled streets, where rows upon rows of independent shops, galleries, pubs and cafes will surely provide some hidden treasures. Art aficionados are sure to wander around the Tate St Ives, whereas keen ramblers may want to conquer parts of Britain’s longest trail – the South West Coast Path. Further afield, St Michael’s Mount is a 9-mile drive away, and the rugged coastline of Land’s End is well worth the 18-mile drive from home.

Great location but if mobility is an issue then the steps up to cottage entrance could be a problem. Stayed over New Year and the upstairs lounge was an excellent viewing point for the midnight fireworks display. Nice warm property, kitchen a little on small side but ok for two to work in there. Nice to have a little outside sitting area, not tRead morehat it was nice enough to sit outside in the winter. It was easy enough to pull up and unload before moving to carpark. Quiet location. Hide
