This spacious ground-floor apartment is situated on The Porthminster side of St Ives and is ideal for couples looking for a peaceful holiday haven, and a base to explore the spectacular Cornish coast and countryside. The property is less than 300 metres from sandy Porthmeor Beach, where you can join the South West Coast Path and enjoy the mile-long walk past Man’s Head to Clodgy Point. The colours and natural light in the area has been attracting painters, sculptors, and ceramists for decades, and a visit to Tate St Ives (300 metres) is a must.

This delightful property, all on one level, retains many of the original features of a traditional Fisherman’s Loft - exposed ceiling beams and stone walls - and blends them effortlessly with contemporary furnishings. When you enter, there is a sense of peacefulness, and you can instantly unwind on the sofa in the lounge/diner with a TV for entertainment. The kitchen has all the appliances to whip up a romantic meal to share together at the dining table. When it is time to rest, a king-size bedroom and a bathroom are all yours at this lovely seaside retreat. Outside you’ll find a private courtyard with seating where you can enjoy a morning brew or evening sundowner.

To see St Ives from a different angle, hop aboard a boat trip from the pier and head out to discover Seal Island, a perfect way to watch the sunset. South of St Ives is the stunning Marazion Beach (10 miles), from where you can look across the cobbled causeway to admire the iconic sight of St Michael’s Mount. If you fancy walking in the countryside, take a picnic to Trencrom Hill and walk up to the viewpoint where you can see both the north and south coast. If delving into the local history is of interest, then head to Chysauster Ancient Village (7.5 miles) and explore the fascinating ruins.

Location great only 2 mins from the beach. Very tidy cottage but would not recommend for anyone with asthma and small children as there was a strong smell of mould.

Really lovely space! We booked this as we have an 11 month year old who is constantly crawling and pulling himself up so we wanted a decent amount of space for him, especially if the weather was bad. Gorgeous bathroom, really clean and warm. The apartment was a great location! We did however find it was quite damp so didnt make use of the wasRead moreher and tumble dryer because it would have all ended up smelling! As a result of the damp, paint was flaking easily and even chunk of the stone which wasnt ideal with such a small child. Really comfy bed and a lovely dark bedroom. There is a tiny courtyard that joins to another property so we did find if they had windows open we could hear everything they said if in their kitchen! Hide
