Although I enjoyed the stay, there are damp issues and pillows etc are all feather. Went back to the car to get my wife's asthma medication and the garage was not accessible due to roller shutter door (which we later realized was activated by the garage key fob). Had to drive my son 180 miles back home and 180 miles back again because he refused toRead more stay past the first night. Our puppy found an old pair of socks and some mouldy pasta under the sofa - so the end of rental clean wasn't really very thorough. The amount of steps up to the property are prohibitive for asthma sufferers (that don't have access to their medication). I loved the placed - the family didn't care for it one little bit. Hide

We had a great stay here which was in the centre of St Ives with 5 minute walk to the harbour and main street. Having read all the reviews we felt some were a little unfair. Yes the home is small but they have managed to fit it out really well and even had a dishwasher and washing machine. The bed was super comfortable and amazing views out to the Read moreharbour, beach and sea. We felt the standard was high - the sofa could have been bigger/more comfortable but thats the only comment wed make. A big bonus was having the garage for the car and it is small like is mentioned. It takes some manoeuvring but we only got it out once the whole week. The garage will only fit smaller cars - there are local car parks if needed. There are many steps up to the property but its definitely worth it with the views you are rewarded with - its a good workout though! We would definitely stay again and it was great value for money. Good central location, not easy to find first time. You go through a wrought iron gated archway. Amazing sea view from the bedroom. Off season long stay parking in Barnoon car park less than 10 mins walk was 16.50 for the week. Cottage was very clean and had everything that you needed. Would definitely stay again.

This property has sadly not been kept up. It is clean but no one is taking real care of the place which is not what I would expect from a relatively expensive rental. Would not have complained over the various small things that need a fix up, but then we had no hot water for last 2 days so sadly it all adds up to a negative review. Some very good Read morepoints - location and quietness and a lovely view from bedroom but annoyed I have had nothing more than a sorry as compensation for the troubles we had which became inconvenient and time consuming. Great little cottage for a short break - myself, my husband , our teenage daughter stayed with our little dog for a 3 night break and had a lovely time. Great location, but only really suitable for able bodied adults due to the steep steps up to the property that become slippery when wet. There is a damp smell that hits you when you walk it but you do get used to it! Agree with previous reviewers that the cottage is only big enough for two due to the downstairs space (the two seater sofa is small aRead morend narrow and there is only one other comfortable chair). The king size bed is very comfortable and the views from the main bedroom amazing. The kitchen is well appointed despite being very compact, b Lovely dcor throughout. Very quiet. Would recommend to single people or a couple. Hide

Very small for 2 adults & 2 kids. Great location & comes with a handy (narrow) garage. The garage was the reason we chose this place as there's very little parking in StIves. St Ives is a great place to visit.

For the price this place really was not worth it, it had a really bad mouldy smell, the bath wouldnt drain and its tiny. We stayed here as a family of four with two young children and there was no space for their clothes, only two seats at the table and was like staying in a cave.
