In an incredible position a stone’s throw from the beach in St Ives, this bright studio apartment is perfectly positioned for a seaside getaway for two at any time of the year. Spend all day relaxing on the golden sands, explore the town’s fabulous variety of shops and places to eat or venture further and experience all the attractions of West Cornwall, from ancient stone monuments to iconic St Michael’s Mount.

This ground floor property makes great use of space and is just right for solo travellers or couples. Step off the harbour front and straight into the open-plan living area, which has a dining table by the windows looking out onto the beach. Sit here for hours and watch the world pass by as the tide goes in and out. The lounge features a sofa and armchair, TV/DVD and CD, so if you wish you can pull down the blinds and chill out with a movie or some music. At the far end of the room a U-shaped kitchen cleverly incorporates everything you’ll need to rustle up a romantic supper or a picnic lunch, plus a breakfast bar with two stools. A glass-brick wall separates the bedroom area, which has a super-king-size bed (can be twin beds on request) with space to store your clothes. Completing the apartment is a shower room.

Step outside and explore the quaint, cobbled streets of St Ives, crammed with charming shops, excellent restaurants, cafes and takeaways, superb art galleries and friendly pubs. Beach lovers will never tire of the town’s five beaches, which between them offer cafes, chalets, surf lessons, sea kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, and of course mile upon mile of golden sand. You can also book a boat trip, hire a pedalo or be taken on an exhilarating RIB ride.

After moving out of a similar well equipped apartment this was disappointing. Lack of crockery and utensils. We had to buy more mugs to make use of the dishwasher. Wonderful views. We had to crawl up the bed to get in and out as gap too small at either side. Please note if you have mobility issues. Bed was comfortable. Spoilt by well worn pillows Read more. Settee well worn. The cottage itself needs updating to reflect the price that is being asked for IE furniture and damp problems in living room area and bedroom

Perfect location with lovely views. Loved the location particularly first thing in the morning before the crowds descended. Property has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Wonderful location and ideal for one or two people. Compact, cosy and well equipped. I appreciated the fold up table and chairs and sat out in the sunshine a couple of times. Just watch out for the seagulls - they pinch your food given half a chance. Very good service from St Ives Holiday Cottages when I asked for help with the TV.
