Property code: OC-34BELM

This delightful first-floor property with a stunning sea view is perfect for couples looking for a romantic break or a peaceful holiday on the west coast of Cornwall. The property is located in St Ives, a great base for exploring the surrounding area which is full of glorious sandy beaches, clifftops and beautiful countryside. It is less than 500 metres to walk to Porthmeor Beach, St Ives Tate and the shops and eateries selling delicious fresh local produce.

This is a pretty flat, where the light, bright walls, splashes of bold colours in the decor, and coastal theme combine to create a vibrant and welcoming feel. The layout is an open-plan lounge/diner, while a neat kitchen has everything you need to whip up some romantic meals. This is a lovely couples’ retreat full of delightful touches. You can cosy up on the comfortable sofa, watch your favourite films on the TV, and enjoy the marvellous coastal vista through the large window when dining. The flat has a beautifully decorated double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. There is no garden or outside space, but St Ives is on your doorstep, and Man’s Head viewpoint via the South West Coast Path or the picturesque harbour are both just half a mile away.

There are four beaches to choose from in St Ives Bay - Gwithian, Upton Towans, Mexico Towans and Hayle – perfect for a stroll, building sandcastles, swimming, or water sports. Head to Godrevy Point (11 miles), where you can enjoy a walk along the South West Coast Path to Mutton Cove to see if you can spot any seals. The Penwith Heritage Coast to the south has a rugged coastline and finishes at Land’s End (18 miles). Take a circular walk from the beach at Sennen Cove and there are spectacular views from along the cliffs as you head to the sea cave at Nanjizal passing Land’s End along the way.

A very lovely, cosy flat with a personal vibe. Sadely I had to pay the booking fees again for my second booking. Also, the flat is perfect for 1 person (for two okay but a bit small) so the price is a bit high.

While the interior of the property was spotlessly clean, we were disappointed to find that the communal area did not give a good first impression, definitely needed a good clean. The tv was very tricky to operate and the signal, both picture and sound, was very intermittent on most channels, very frustrating!
