This delightful terrace house in Porthleven enjoys gorgeous sea and harbour views from its elevated position and is perfect for families or friends looking for a relaxing holiday in one of the town’s most sought-after locations. Porthleven is a pretty, working fishing village, and it is hard not to relax in the beautiful surroundings. The village has a sandy beach and plenty of eateries serving the freshest seafood. The gorgeous, family-friendly beach at Praa Sands is only 5 miles, perfect for buckets and spades and various water sports.

An inviting two-storey property with a coastal theme, bright white walls, and splashes of vivid colour in the furnishings and decor brings a vibrant energy to the space. The contemporary kitchen/diner is also on the ground floor with everything you need to whip up some family favourites. Completing the ground floor is an elegant bathroom. Upstairs is the lounge, a perfect social space that takes full advantage of the sea views from its large bay windows. There is a big, comfortable corner sofa and a TV to watch if you can take your eyes off the wonderful harbour views! There is also a shower room on this floor. Outside, you’ll find an elevated front terrace with outdoor furniture, a lovely spot for a morning brew or a sundowner, and a side patio.

To learn about some of the area’s history, visit the Wheal Prosper Tin Mine, less than 5 miles from Porthleven. For sea life enthusiasts, The Cornish Seal Sanctuary (7 miles) offers a wonderful experience to learn about the local sea life and walk around the woodland path. You couldnt find a more beautiful view anywhere in Cornwall . We had the best time sitting on our patio watching the comings and goings in the harbour below. Already booked for next year.

The location is fantastic, right on the harbour with excellent views, and with the convenience of parking on the side of the harbour below. The 30 steps up to the cottage would be tricky for the elderly, but that extra elevation made the views better. The level of equipment is great, better than anticipated. Porthleven harbour area is busy, with maRead moreny interesting shops, stalls, pubs and restaurants - pretty much a perfect place to stay. Hide

Great stay, beautiful view. We have stayed many of times in Porthleven and this has got to be one of our favourite cottages. Having a morning coffee to a evening wine on the front watching the waves was one of our favourite parts of this stay. Thank you, The Gilbert's

Porthleven is a lovely fishing harbour, great places to eat out. The Anson is in a good location, many hours spent relaxing on the terrace watching comings and goings.

The property wasnt 5 star a few faults.. eg wobbly toilet seat, shower that tended to over flow ( poor drainage, kept having to use plunger). Looks a little tired in places generally. The double bed however was extremely comfortable! Slept really well. Great location too.

The Anson was a fabulous location with views across the harbour and out to sea. Inside, it was beautifully decorated making it a perfect family holiday home. Well equipped and centrally located, we would certainly stay there again.
