Take a break away to this converted hayloft and you’ll be instantly charmed by the country-style decor, thoughtful touches and beautiful private garden. Situated just 6 miles from the coast and the magnificent Carlyon Bay, you can swim, snorkel and sunbathe during the summer months, or enjoy an invigorating walk listening to the waves crash to the shore in the winter.

The heart of this home is the kitchen/diner, tastefully decorated in emerald and pastel tones with windows all around allowing natural light to brighten the space. Cook up a storm for breakfast, lunch or dinner and sit at the bench-style table to enjoy a romantic meal for two. Next door is the bathroom complete with a thermostatic shower to refresh at the start and end of the day. Upstairs is the lounge, a cosy area with soft seating and a quaint wood burner, an idyllic spot to relax in the evening. Finally, the bedroom is furnished with a sumptuous double bed in front of a wood-clad wall for a restful night’s sleep. Make the most of good weather in the enclosed garden which looks out over the sweeping countryside and features a dining area and BBQ for al fresco dining.

Spend a day at the Eden Project (8 miles) exploring the unique biomes and picturesque gardens, or get your adrenaline pumping at Hangloose Adventure, a zipline that whizzes over the grounds from a grand height. Avid walkers should embrace the opportunity to trek a stretch of the South West Coast Path which rewards all who visit with panoramic views and sightings of rare wildlife making their homes in the rugged landscapes. To explore the local history, head to Bodmin (15 miles), one of the oldest towns in Cornwall, or Bodmin Moor (25 miles) to spot ancient monuments in the granite moorland and visit the supposed final resting place for King Arthur’s sword.

Lovely little cottage annexe, clean and tidy and comfortable, had all we needed, loved having an air fryer which was great. Very quiet location and in easy reach of everything in Cornwall. Lovely touch having a cream tea, bottle of Prosecco and a pint of milk on arrival. Lovely hosts too. Highly recommended.

Wow, what a beautiful cottage and what a wonderful holiday we had! The cottage is located in an excellent location, good for exploring north and south Cornwall! (Tintagel - 50 minutes, Padstow 35 minutes, Mevagissey 15 minutes, Eden Project 25 minutes and many more locations within less than 30 minutes driving distance). The cottage is well equippeRead mored, with an excellent air fryer which we cooked most of our meals in. The bed is comfortable and the cottage was spotlessly clean, decorated beautifully - you can tell lots of thought has gone into preparing the cottage into a lovely, cosy holiday destination for guests. We looked forward to coming back here after each day out. There is an excellent, friendly pub within walking distance that also does great food if you fancy a meal out (The Hewas Inn) The Kingswood Bar and Restaurant, a 10 minute drive away is also lovely if you prefer a little more fine dining. Despite the weather not being on our side we still had a fabulous holiday, and cannot wait to stay again. Lesley and Terry, the property owners are incredibly welcoming and lovely people, but also understood and respected our privacy in the cottage. We couldnt recommend Pendeen Hayloft enough. Hide

Very happy with our stay at the Hayloft, a bit smaller than imagined but more than adequate. Spotlessly clean. Very good furniture in bedroom for clothes etc and comfortable bed. The shower was brilliant. Lesley and Terry were very friendly and helpful. Stones throw to excellent pub with good food. Would recommend. Sheila and John
