Lovely cottage in the countryside overlooking fields. Good location easy parking. Bathrooms on ground floor a bit problematic for elderly persons.

We found this cottage unsuitable for our age group. The seating is very low and uncomfortable and aged especially in the TV lounge. There is no proper mirror in the modern bathroom so difficult for shaving and the second bathroom the sink plug is no good so you cant have a wash or shave using it. The recycling is very confusing and there was even tRead morewo used nappies left in the bin cupboard which we didnt touch and think the cleaner should have sorted before our arrival . There is nowhere to properly hang you clothes and the bedrooms are very tight for getting in and out of bed especially in the dark. We found it particularly cold given the awful weather we experienced throughout the week. I had to ask the owner to allow us to out on the heating it the remote stat control kept loosing contact to the Wi-Fi which made it hard to control This may suit young couples but not anyone of 75. Holidaycottages.co.uk response:- Thank you for your feedback, heating at School Cottage does not need a Wi-Fi connection to operate, the handrail to the cottage was renewed last October. Recycling is described in detail in a welcome folder in the cottage and these details also emailed prior to arrival for further clarity by the owner. All sofas are standard height and seen in pictures. Hide

The cottage was lovely and very comfortable and was in a perfect location. The communication from the host was excellent and he was very helpful. I highly recommend the Old Mill 2 minutes down the road for a lovely meal and excellent service.

This was an excellent find! We loved staying here with our children aged 9 and 6. It was in a great location close to local amenities. George was very responsive and easy to communicate with. A nice touch was the biscuits and milk we were left which meant we didnt need to rush out to the shop that evening we arrived. The beds were extremely comfortRead moreable and helped us to have a good night sleep ready for our next day of adventures. We would highly recommend School Cottage and would stay again. Thank you! A good location as within 10 mins of some stunning beaches, the only negative is there is nothing local to walk to or a path to do so if there was. Despite some teething issues in the property itself, the owner was on hand to answer our queries promptly.
