A sun trap garden, idyllic setting and traditional interiors provide a perfect home-from-home for those wanting to explore Cornwall. Sleeping four across two lovely bedrooms, this attractive cottage is within walking distance to a shop, pub and beach for all the family necessities.

At first glance, this pretty cottage is decorated in a homely rustic style with characterful features throughout, like exposed brickwork and wooden beams. This traditional charm flows all the way through the property to create a very cosy atmosphere for you and your guests. Spend time together in the living room, where you can sink into the comfy sofa or warm frosty toes in front of the inglenook fireplace. Cook up a delicious meal in the contemporary kitchen and serve up in the landscaped garden, surrounded by birds and flowers. Break open a bottle of wine, and enjoy an after-dinner drink on sunny evenings, before retiring to the living room for a natter and film night. Soak up riverside views from the king-size and twin bedroom, where you can sip away at your morning caffeine whilst lying in bed.

Don walking boots and oversized coats and enjoy long, rambling walks along the South West Coast path. This 630-mile route takes you on a magical tour through hidden coves, rugged clifftops and panoramic coastline. For a slower pace, while away hours sunbathing down at Pendennis Point (20 miles), Trebah Beach (14 miles) or Gunwalloe Church Cove (9 miles). Visit the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (8.5 miles) to meet resident grey seals or dig into the deep history of the Poldark Mine and Cornish Heritage Collection (13.5 miles).

Rose Cottage was like a home from home. Beautiful garden to sit out in the sun and Helford is such a peaceful, relaxing location. Great to have own car parking space outside the door. I will be back!

This was our third visit and we've already booked our fourth. Doesn't that say it all?! Rose Cottage has everything we need for a family holiday in a lovely place. We particularly love the sun-trap garden, the roses round the door, the comfy beds and the view from the upstairs windows; the private parking, the plentiful hot water and the locatioRead moren in that corner of Helford are also huge bonuses. Such a gorgeous Chocolate box cottage, beautifully furnished. Helford is idililic. Our kids loved splashing in the ford and collecting shells by the jetty. We had a wonderful holiday. The road in is incredibly narrow so possibly not for nervous drivers!

We loved our Autumn stay at Rose Cottage. It was a perfect base for visiting the Lizard and the nearby coastline and then returning to the cottage for cosy evenings in front of the fire.
