The cottage is in an ideal spot, close to all amenities. It is comfortable and warm. The kitchen is particularly well equipped and on a hot day what better than to eat in the courtyard garden. For us the big pluses were being right on the promenade, a nice long walk to Newlyn, the fabulous Lido just over the road , a five minute walk to the Isles oRead moref Scilly ferry and the proximity of art galleries and quirky shops. Wed certainly like to return at some time Hide

Theres lots to like about Song of the Sea. The location is great and the quality of the linens, towels etc is very high. Its clean and the welcome pack provided is high quality. Unfortunately the house is damp and smells damp as soon as you enter the property. This is also visible in the area under the front window and in a large area of peeliRead moreng paint at the top of the stairs. Kitchen cupboards smelt damp when we opened the doors for crockery etc. Quite unpleasant. The sofas have seen better days and are extremely uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. The final issue we experienced was the neighbour practicing drumming at 7.30 am. for 4 of the 6 days we stayed. Not ideal! Hide

We had a wonderful holiday in Song of the sea. Our family of 4 was very comfortable in the cottage. We were made to feel very welcome. The flowers, welcome packs, milk and scones were a lovely surprise. The cottage was very clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. The cottage was in a great location. We were able to walk along the front Read moreand walk up into the town easily. We walked to Newlyn one evening for a meal too which took us no longer than 20 minutes and it was a lovely walk along the promenade. We managed to park nearby, Often not directly outside the door but we always managed to park further up the road less than a minute walk to the cottage. We would definitely book again. Hide

We traveled with 3 friends by train. The house was the perfect place to be. We had separated rooms and we had very cozy places to be together. On a walking distance to nice places in Penzance and a view on the sea. Railway- and busstations were very close. It was paradise.
