Relax over a cup of tea as you gaze out towards St Michael’s Mount from this Mousehole retreat. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom holiday home sits close to the sea in the picturesque Cornish fishing village and has a front patio that looks towards the sea. The semi-detached cottage also welcomes dogs.

Wander in at ground-floor level to find accommodation that is modern and welcoming. The lounge, where a wood burner is set into a stone chimney breast, is the perfect place to enjoy cosy evenings in together. Here you can watch the Smart TV, play games or choose a book. The kitchen/diner is a good-sized room with ample space to sit down to holiday feasts after you have taken turns at whipping up homemade dishes in the well-equipped space. At the end of each exciting day, make your way upstairs to lay your head in either the double bedroom, with an en suite shower room, or the king-size, which looks out towards the sea. There is also a family bathroom and a snug, where you can unwind and indulge in a little quiet time. Sit out on the patio with a glass of wine on summer evenings. There is parking for one car at the property.

Amble about 100 metres into Mousehole to find eateries to pause in and shops and galleries where you can browse. Walk 150 metres down to the harbour to watch the boats coming in and out and to book a trip out to see the coastline from the water. Choose between a number of sandy beaches between Mousehole and Penzance, 3 miles away, or embark upon a 2.5-mile walk along the South West Coast Path to pretty Lamorna Cove. Visit Marazion, 9.5 miles away and walk out at low tide to St Michael’s Mount.

!Buses reverse around the corner of the house from 7am until 10pm! This cannot be understated. The noise, interruption to your peace and constant being on view to people on a bus as you sit in the front room. The property is well located and in a fair state of repair. It could be cleaner, as when I visited there were massive cobwebs in general sigRead moreht, over the stairs as you descended, that had been missed and mold on bottom of shower screen. General renovation is needed also as the main bedroom ensuite bathroom taps were unsecured to basin and the toilet seat loose which moved when using. The benefit of having a parking space in Mousehole is very good. The only problem is the seagulls using this space as a convenience, which may seam like nitpicking until you go to your car every morning in a disgusting mess. Although I've highlighted some very glaring issues i thought it would be better to state them rather than have them come as very negative surprises to a holiday rental that is in a beautiful location and well situated to explore the rest of the end of the country. Mousehole in itself is very picturesque and a joy to explore. But food and alcohol prices within the village are very expensive. Hide

The cottage is well located at the edge of the village with easy access to all the village facilities. We used it as a base to explore the area and did lots of great coastal walks. All equipment required was present for cooking and food prep. Beds were comfy. We highly recommend the Bistro No 2 Fore Street where we had a quality meal. On a negatRead moreive point we found the road outside the cottage very busy with traffic even though it was winter. The road outside the cottage is the end point for bus services double deckers turn around from 7am to 11pm every half hour. People on the top decks looking in through the windows. Hide

A well-equipped comfortable cottage in an excellent location and with useful parking for one vehicle. There were a couple of hiccups with Wi-Fi access and a sticky front door lock but these were dealt with fairly promptly by the helpful and friendly staff at Holiday Cottages.

The position of the cottage is perfect for the harbour etc. A few kitchen items are needed as there wouldn't be enough for 4 guests. Apart from a damp problem because it being an old cottage, the beds are really comfortable & the bathrooms are modern & clean.

This cottage was clean and spacious. Well equipped and comfortable seating in the living room. I especially liked the big chair upstairs for people watching. The beds were very comfortable and good quality sheets. The parking space was a bonus. I would happily come and stay again.
